They fucking won?
I've learned that the "St. Louis Blues" are an NHL hockey club.
A recap after approximately one month of the NHL season:
1. Detroit doesn't rebuild, they just reload
2. Toronto doesn't have the patience to do a proper rebuild
3. The weakest link on a very good looking Canucks team just might be Roberto Luongo
4. Flames will be forced to make some tough decisions at the end of this month
5. Colin Campbell needs more grease for the "Wheel of Justice"
Feel free to add your own contributions...
The Caps are learning how to play defense and goaltending and it's a long process, but, Neuvirth is helping.
Also, the rest of the league is trying to do the same thing Montreal did last year in he playoffs to the caps, block shots and not give them space. If they learn to win now with teams playing like that, it'll make it easier in the playoffs...
3. The Flyers may have a goaltender this year. Still early but Bobrovsky looks good.
The Caps may have 3 goaltenders this year... still early, but Neuvirth, Holtby, and Varly* look good.
*If the guy ever gets healthy for a long stretch, which for the record, I don't think he will.
Either the Sens just got off to a slow start or this team is going to be streaky as fuck again this year.
Dion Phaneuf is a bad fit for the Maple Leafs; he's a terrible fit for captain of the Leafs or any team.
The Flames are in trouble (sorry Dash) if Matt Stajan is their top center.
The Oilers look like they'll follow the blueprint of the Pens/Hawks; looking like another top 5 pick this year.
Henrik Lundqvist is awesome.
The NHL has the parity it has long sought.
