I didn't see the preseason rankings........just wondering if anyone here knows
Just goes to show how far off those preseason polls are. And we all buy into them to some extent.
That #1 ranking was based on arguably the best receiver core in the Country, as well as a Landry Jones who finished strong last year and the best linebacker set in the nation as well. When you lose that, and your #1 RB in the season, it would be rough to finish strong
When you put all your eggs in a basket on a walk-on RB, you know there are some troubles lying ahead.

Who had a better WR set at the beginning of the season? As well as D-Line at that?
Lewis, Box, Alexander?
Sorry, I don't agree with you, that doesn't make me a troll. And the fact we're discussing this on your 3rd loss of the year.....well, let's just say I've been proven RIGHT in my opinion.
The LB core was the strength of you defense, no doubt, but not tops in the nation.
WR core? Tons of teams with just as much production. DL was WOEFULLY undersized, and got pushed around by bigger OLs, as you witnessed all year.
But please, keep calling me a troll when I keep making ACCURATE predictions about your team.
Truth hurts. Take off the homer glasses.

Who had a better linebacker core at the beginning of the season? You seem to think I am like MarkOU and think OU deserves a natty shot. I have never been a Venables or Landry fan. I'm just asking you to name me a better core. I'll wait while you look up the names

Considering Box didn't even play this season, why are you even bringing him up? (RIP)
LSU, Bama, both have better LB cores.....and more depth. Seriously, are you REALLY going to try to argue this?
Like I said, we aren't going to agree here, and that's fine. I'm not saying the LB core isn't great.....just not as great as you want it to be, which SHOULD be obvious by now.

Because I stated that the #1 ranking was based on the linebackers on the starting roster among other things. Do you even read what I write? lmao
btw LOL @ another landry pick

I read what you wrote.....and didn't agree with you. Why is this so hard to understand? OU got their ranking on NAME recognition, don't kid yourself.
We tried having a discussion about why Kiper and McShay have him listed as the second best QB in the draft behind Luck......no takers.
All I've ever seen that guy do in key games is fail. He's got the arm......but he just can't handle pressure.
I said they would lose 2 games, and that they weren't even CLOSE to being a NC contender with their defense. MAN I was hated on........called it AGAIN.
I was MONEY this year with predictions about OU and A&M
