Any person on this board could be the head coach of a team with Peyton Manning as the QB. Only the Lions can sit back and watch all these teams hire coaches waiting on their guy to finish the playoffs and he shuns them to go to Tennessee.

This REALLY sucks. They aren't hiring a head coach, they will be handing the job to someone by default.

There is nothing positive to come out of this. Detroit isn't going to get the coach they wanted and they waited so long, that every other option is already with other teams, so they are going to be stuck with whoever is left over. Which in this case -- it'll more than likely be Caldwell.
