I know there are a million smart ass answers but this is serious.
This forum needs a "Display mode" options button so that the reader can choose how the forum is displayed.
For example, here is a url to another board that has three display options
College Football Boards - NationalChamps.net
Click on one of the threads , say this one
Some Aggie and Tide review - NationalChamps.net
and now click on the "Display Modes" button on the right end of the second horizontal blue bar.
The reader has a choice of: 1) Linear Mode, 2) Hybrid Mode, or 3) Threaded Mode.
I prefer the "hybrid mode". I like the "flow chart" at the top to see who is replying to what post, but then shows linearly the group of responses to any post that I have selected to look at.
That way when threads are merged they would still be separated in the flow chart.
Anyway JMHO
