Not entirely accurate post by Marty, but interesting topic I thought. Wonder if or how long it will last…but enjoying it for sure.
Fitz wasn't struggling this time last year and still got sent to the minors. There is a difference on this team, even if most of the players were acquired during the FZ era.I think a lot has to do with attitude. Fitz said yesterday that with his early season lack of productivity that last year he likely would be in the minors.
Younger players are a year more mature and possibly aren't as concerned with not making a mistake which would get them relegated to the bench or minors. Lineups (a lot to do with lack of injuries) are more consistent and less platooning or opening starters (what ever that was)
I don need no stinking 13 game stretch...a couple of innings is enough. Also a hot start masks a lot...they aren't winning 120 games like they are on pace to, so when the inevitable 4-9 stretches happen, we won't be feeling this good.
Still, you can see how this can work, and 12-4 is a hell of a lot better than 7-9 and hoping we figure it out.
Yes we know, Angry AltI don need no stinking 13 game stretch...a couple of innings is enough.

Thanks Debbie Downer. Also a hot start masks a lot...they aren't winning 120 games like they are on pace to, so when the inevitable 4-9 stretches happen, we won't be feeling this good.

He meant a couple of pitches“A couple”?
Too late, you already ruined the season for me.
Maybe they win 115?
