I think a lot has to do with attitude. Fitz said yesterday that with his early season lack of productivity that last year he likely would be in the minors.

Younger players are a year more mature and possibly aren't as concerned with not making a mistake which would get them relegated to the bench or minors. Lineups (a lot to do with lack of injuries) are more consistent and less platooning or opening starters (what ever that was)

Fitz wasn't struggling this time last year and still got sent to the minors. There is a difference on this team, even if most of the players were acquired during the FZ era.

Also a hot start masks a lot...they aren't winning 120 games like they are on pace to, so when the inevitable 4-9 stretches happen, we won't be feeling this good.

Still, you can see how this can work, and 12-4 is a hell of a lot better than 7-9 and hoping we figure it out.
