Jamrog was joking. Thank goodness. Tradition lives. But tradition lives in the Big Ten, too, where Michigan State on Saturday appeared in garish-looking pea green jerseys and pants with gold helmets. Meanwhile, the maize and blue of Michigan came with stripes over the shoulders and a number beneath the iconic Wolverine piping on the helmet.
