Remember back when Randy was drooling over Marleau's "record" of 2 goals each in the first 4 games acting like it was like DiMaggios 56 game hitting streak. Seems so long ago. I knew then that bubble was going to burst, not this bad, but Randy was falling all over himself like it was some epic achievement. A better achievement would be 2 goals in each of the last 4 games of the season, specifically postseason, and those games being in late June. Then Randy would really have something to drool about.

Because the PP was clicking at something like 40% through the first 7 games. If you look at PP percentages after those seven games I'd be willing to bet they are dead last in the league in that span.

I can tolerate not scoring 5 on 5 as long as their defense is solid as it has been, but being this poor on the PP is unacceptable. There are too many skilled players on this team to shit the bed on the PP the way they have over the past month

First 5 games:
12/32 = 37%
yes, no way any team sustains this.

Then, last 14 games:
3/59 = 5%

Update: Columbus scored 3 @CHI and Minnesota 2 @ANA so SJ is now in a 3-way tie (with NSH/MIN) for last in the league. Yay!
