And specifically the PP?

We have become anemic. Passes way off target, lazy slow skating, give aways left and right. Lack of shooting, trying to make passes instead of putting the puck on net. I don't get it.

Standard lazy jumbo is the big one. He is back to the standing still problem.

However, the big problem isnt the PP or the top line, it's that if the top line doesnt score, no one else not names cooch will. The bottom 6 has been the problem on this team for many years and it was clearly the downfall the last several years. This might the worst bottom 6 that the sharks have had in a decade or more. No chance the sharks can win consistently with these guys eating up at least a 1/3 or more of the game. Sharks need to ditch a dman or two for a good forward.

They stopped playing a fast style game. Quick in transition, fast puck movement, lots of movement away from the puck. They've reverted to their slow down stationary offense that is predictable and easy to defend.

Even strength not scoring problem is due to line juggling too much. Duh.

Stupid unexplainable shit that should never happen or you-fire-your-headcoach-at-intermission type stuff like Burish on the top line, Gomez on 4th line, Handzus on 2nd line, etc.

Defensive pairing juggling is also horrible. Like a Vlasic/Stuart pairing.. WHAT?

Anyway, when does the regular season start? I'm getting too pissed off with these pre-season games despite the early success. :L

Maybe they should consider calling up tarasov soon. he's 21, playing very well in the A, and was dominant in the USHL last year. He seems like the top sharks prospect in worcester right now, and while letting a guy season in the A makes sense, with the sharks desperation for a young spark, maybe they should give the kid a shot?

At this point, what do the sharks have to lose? they clearly need something...

Tarasov would have to be signed before he could be called up as he's only on an AHL contract. The kid has mad offensive skills but they are very, very rough. Calling him up is likely to do more harm than good.

Because if they take their time with him (a year or two) in the A and he's able to put it all together they could have something special. They just have to hope Sommers doesn't butcher his development like he has with almost every other highly skilled prospect he's had.

Charlie Coyle is in the NHL. I have a feeling that kid is going to bite us in the ass. Who did we trade him for again? The guy's name was Brent Burns right? How many games has he played this season?

Charlie Coyle will amount to a 3rd liner in a career year outside of that hes likely to amount to jack squat.

Isnt a 3rd liner still more productive than a guy that never plays?

So 81 out of 82 games last year and 80 of 82 the year before now qualifies as never playing?

The reality is they brought him up to put pressure on your second love interest Seto. He's going down the same career tracks as the Cheechoo train, only difference is Cheech never gave up, Devo outright quit

LOL. Likewall will never agree with the trade, which is fine, because everyone has their own opinions. For me, the Sharks came out way ahead by getting Burns. He's just gonna continue to get better too.

He will be our puck mover and PP qb when Boyle retires. Looking at how our defense moves the puck and how our pp looked with Boyle out, I will say that Burns will be a hell of a lot more valuable to this team than Coyle.
