That's every tournament except for the Masters.
Well, if the PGA wants this tournament to be on the level of the Big Three then they need to eliminate some of the chumps. Maybe to like the WGC events do. When I turn on the Players, I don't want to watch Kramer Hickock or Bo Hoag

Don't be a fool. The list I wrote down contains numerous players you haven't even heard of. I said "The Players used to be an elite field" I challenge you to call even one of those players I mentioned "elite"
And as I pointed out, despite your picking out of names, the field was just as "elite" as it has always been.

No, its just as weak as always. I just don't remember it being that weak. That event has gone way down in how I see it. Almost an absurd field for an event that is trying to tout itself as another Major.

Are you trolling? The data shows that it is consistently stronger than any major and that holds true this year as well.

2020 Masters - 0.3
2020 US Open - 0.2
2020 PGA - (0.1)
2019 Players - 0.5
2019 Masters - 0.3
2019 US Open - (0.1)
2019 PGA - 0.0
2019 Open - 0.0
2018 Players - 0.5
2017 Players - 0.5

I showed you the list of players who were included. All were chumps with no chance of winning. They need to do Like the Masters does or the WGC where you must be ranked.

What part of "The Players always has a stronger field than the Masters and this year will not be an exception" don't you understand?

Any of it. The Masters is the greatest tournament in history. The Players is a made up, fake Major with a shitload of nobodies in it.

Anyone? LOL! Go out and try it and let me know how that works out. Besides, learn your facts before you open your yap; not just anyone is allowed to try and qualify for the U.S. Open

Which is more difficult? Playing in the US Open or the Players?

The field consists of 144 players consisting of the following criteria:

  1. Winners of PGA Tour events since last Players
  2. Top 125 from previous season's FedEx Cup points list
  3. Top 125 (medical)
  4. Major champions from the past five years
  5. Players Championship winners from the past five years
  6. The Tour Championship winners from the past three years
  7. World Golf Championship winners from the past three years
  8. Memorial Tournament and Arnold Palmer Invitational winners from the past three years
  9. Top 50 from the Official World Golf Ranking
  10. Senior Players champion from prior year
  11. Korn Ferry Tour money leader from prior season
  12. Money leader during the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, if not the regular-season money leader
  13. Top 10 current year FedEx Cup points leaders
  14. Remaining positions and alternates filled through current year FedEx Cup standings

You're going to confuse him with facts and data.

All that should matter is whether Montalban has heard of them before.

You can qualify for the US Open with a 1.4 handicap.

Nobody even close to that bad is getting anywhere near The Players without a ticket.

How'd they arrive at that number, I wonder?

No clue. But an official GHIN of at least 1.4 and whatever the fee is gets you in a qualifier.

I mean Happy Gilmore and Roy McIlroy can get in the Open.

They didn't have to go through Q school or anything, let alone be point leaders on a tour
