What do you consider to be a blue blood program?

Well that just makes you old. I know I'm part of the younger generation. I'm only 24. And of course Florida State is the one that everyone in the ACC wants to be. So I just have a lot of respect for what they've done.

My school doesn't have a history of wins...but I wasn't around for most of my school's history anyway so what do I care.


What I do know is that in the recent era of my team, I've watched them play for two National Titles and win one.

Just because the team your grandfather's watched had some success have you actually lived to experience it yourself ?

They went 9-1-1 in their first year of existence.

They've never had a losing season in their ENTIRE history. If we're going to use serious criteria besides National titles, Florida State is easily the greatest college program.

Never had a single season outside of the top 25 either.

Basically my criteria is a large fan base, at least 1 national title without decades of being terrible(Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Arkansas etc) and a big time money maker program.

Blue Bloods are the teams that have made football great, and what it is today.

It's going all in on Football and pumping millions of dollars into it year after year when others sit on the sideline doing nothing except being mediocre.

It something that spans generations and teams that are still relevant today.
Princeton is an original blue blood but not today.

It's the teams that are either loved or hated, not much in between.
It's the teams that your grandfather talked about 70 years ago and who you talk about today.

Some ask why some teams get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to rankings and bowl games. Well it's because those teams are the ones who pumped in the most time, money, and effort into the system over the years to get football to what it is today.

Oh, and being able to kick the NCAA in the balls and take away their TV money.
