What do you all think about the long extra point?

I think it's stupid that a 28 yard field goal is worth 3 points and a 32 yard extra point is worth 1 point.

It's stupid.....Why punish the kicker because they have gotten so good that the league feels it's too easy so we'll make it harder ?
What's next, the qb's have gotten so good that the check down is eliminated, or you have to throw for at least 10 yards or it's a penalty ?
I didn't think it was humanly possible for a Commish to be worse than Tag was but Goodell is well on his way to ruining the NFL as we know it......With his stupid rule changes, insistence on a team in London, and fines that have the mental consistency of a jumping bean.....Let's enjoy it while we can, tomorrow it could be drastically different.....

I don't care either way. It really doesn't change much other than the surprise 2 point conversion. But how often is there a surprise conversion attempt? I think it doesn't happen often.

This is why I like it, not to mention I do pay closer attention on them. I have always thought about a team trying something on an extra point.

Maybe making the goal post spread narrower would be a better option.

Other than MAYBE giving teams a reason to think more about going for 2, I really don't see how much of a difference this makes. Any decent NFL kicker should be able to nail a 32 yarder consistently. If they did it for a season and their was a significant drop in extra points made, there might be a reason to keep it. But otherwise, it's just a waste of effort.

I love it. I'm assuming the 2pt try would still be from the 2 yard line. Imagine a bad weather game - this could really come into play.

Every play in football should mean something. Right now, the extra point is meaningless.

Not a fan of the long extra point. If they wanted to change the elements up a bit, they should have made the 2 point conversion a 3 point conversion.
