What Da Hell Do We Do About DT????

We need a serviceable vet who can rotate....Its not gonna be Seymour although that's who I feel could play 3 tech for 7 games and the playoffs......

I think the team will sign Shaun Smith. He has experience in the D and can come in and play right away.

I think Brandon Thompson will see most of the action and I think we don't lose a ton in the run game with him on the field. Gilberry will move inside a lot on obvious passing downs.

Yep.

Thompson has played pretty good when he's been out there. He's no Atkins, but 98% of the league falls under that category. Thompson can help hold down the fort. Get Smith in here and plug him into the rotation. They will get help because teams will focus on chipping/blocking the edge rushers, freeing up the DT's. They will simply have to take advantage of this in the passing game.

As for the run game...they have to eat space and continue to get lanes for the LB's to fly in there and continue making plays.

Yes. I see him as a guy that can provide depth and he plays a little nasty, so that will help.

I also expect to see Margus Hunt play inside a little on passing downs. He's disruptive in that he's tall and pushes the pocket. I'd be concerned though that he could get victimized on run plays. We'll see.

We're good with Thompson and Still. Plus, Hunt and Gilberry can both also rotate and play DT if need be. Losing Atkins really sucks, but the Dline will be fine. Now the secondary on the other hand...

Still screwed up his elbow in the Jets game. I thought I read/heard that he's going to be out until the Bye-week.
