I only buy the kindle version of trade paperbacks/graphic novels when they're ridiculously discounted.

How do you feel about audible comic books? I don't mind them, but I'll always prefer a paperback or an actual hardcover. One of the most fun and nostalgic thing about reading comic books from the early 2000's, when I first started reading paperbacks (albeit in small quantities) is seeing the PS1 and Nintendo 64 ads. Fucking awesome
Audible like they read it to you?

I don't mind digital comics. I have a Comixology and Marvel Unlimited subscription. I stopped collecting single issues a long time ago except for the occasional Variant that I like.

I meant Comixology. I also have an Audible subscription, but's that for novels and such

Comixology is pretty sweet. It does bug me a bit that I don't actually own the comics, but as long as the company doesn't go under it shouldn't be a problem. (Fingers crossed.)

I dig the portability of bringing my whole collection with me on my ipad. It's great for flights and such. It's also nice to have a backlight so I can read in bed when wifey is asleep.

Yeah, I'm right up through issue 37. While I think the series has some issues (that I could go into).....it's definitely a fun read, and the art work is fantastic. Some great characters, (some not so great). Sometimes it borders between wanting to be serious and absurd, but I think it does a really good (and weird) job of straddling that line pretty well.

I don't think I am caught up on it, now that I think of it. The latest volume came out in June and I am not sure I have read it.

Yea. That ending was... interesting.

Overall, I would rate it a solid "meh".

I wouldn't say it was anti-climactic. It just wasn't what I expected.

I loved the ending personally. I like when there isn't always complete closure in everything in a comic/movie

I most certainly do not.

I'm totally OCD like that.

Yeah, I didn't expect complete closure. I started getting the sense around issue 55 - 56 that something was up with Y and 355, and that would cause problems with Y and Beth. Then the thing with 355 happened, and then it was like 'Now what?" and the "now what" (as you said) really wasn't really satisfactorily (for the character) concluded. Not a "bad" ending, just not what I expected.

This. Worth the read for that alone.

I felt the last issue was absolutely anticlimactic. The second to last issue was the true end to the story. The last issue felt more like a post-credit scene.

Not only did I not like how they handled the 355 story, I wasn't a fan of the Beth solution either. Although, I guess that does kinda fit in the new world.
