Have you ever been to Safeco? I will admit I am quite obviously biased and don't have a very large sample size, but I love it. Safeco Field is probably my favorite place on Earth despite probably being a bigger NFL fan than MLB fan. If you have never been there before perhaps that would explain it, but the sightlines throughout the stadium are phenomenal and despite not fielding a real team in years the atmosphere is always great.

I have a lot of experience with Safeco and not much of experience outside it, but I don't see how Safeco lacks character.

Safeco is a beautiful building and probably appeals to architects. Also, the view is good. But IMO, it lacks the character that makes it stand out as a great baseball stadium.

It doesn't.

It's about as unique as you can get for a ballpark. PNC is the only one that I've been to that's got more of a unique feel to it. Petco is wonderful as well.

Went to my first non-Mariners game this year at Tropicana and I actually really enjoyed it...

There are a lot of really great ballparks out there. Hope you get a chance to see more.

Camden was one of the first ones outside of the Kingdome that I ever went to. That was back in 98, and I remember wishing that the new one in Seattle would have some of its qualities. It ended up being similar in a lot of ways, so I was happy.

AT&T and PNC are two of my favorite, but must say I haven't been to as many as I would like.
But then again, I'm not in the dirt yet, so I might see more.

The pre-Ricketts Wrigley was by far the best park in the league. It's too bad the Ricketts decided to trade charm for a fucking videoscreen. The other dozen or so I've been to are more or less similar. Progressive Field in Cleveland is probably the nicest. Miller Park and Nationals Park are up there as well.

I eventually want to see them all. I actually lived in the Stanford area for 3 years for law school and I never had the opportunity to go see a Giants or As game. I may take a trip to LA this summer and will probably try to go see an Angels and Dodgers game.

I admit I'm prejudiced (I fucking HATE the Angels) but their stadium is silly to me. It's cliche. Dodger has allot of history but the stadium itself is very reminiscent of the era; lots of function not allot of character, though they have done some nice renovations.

I am partial to the NL West and Central (99% of the game I watch are in one of those divisions) so my top priorities are to get to PNC, Cinci and Milwaukee. I hate the Giants so bad I can't bring myself to pay for one of their tickets but I do admire the stadium from outside.

Obviously I am a huge fan of Safeco, but I really enjoyed Petco and AT&T when I went there. Also enjoyed my trip to Fenway Park, plus it was during a Redsox-Yankee game so it was a pretty cool experience. I would love to check out Chase Field and Target Field someday.

Only been to 3 (Safeco, at&t park, and angels stadium)

AT&T park is beautiful but I'd give the slight edge to Safeco. Angels stadium is a 7/10 stadium

Only ever been to Safeco. Did the stadium tour too so got to see parts you usually wouldn't. Also recommend the Pyramid Brewery/bar across the road - the salmon burger is awesome!

Seen the Marlins' old Sun Life Stadium from the outside (called Pro Player Stadium back then).

I've only been to Miller Park and Target Field myself. Target Field looks nicer, but I like Miller Park a lot better since the chances of getting rained out are zero.

Is it safe to say the thread should be renamed 'name your favorite team's ballpark?'

PNC is way overhyped by the media and all of you are eating it up. Think for yourself. You guys act as if PNC is the mothership of all ballparks. AT&T in SF is almost a mirror image.... for crying out loud.

I've been to a few. I list the ones still open:

1) Fenway Park (home team)
2) PNC
3) New Busch
4) Oriole Park
5) Progressive Field
6) Citizen Bank
7) Chase Field

Put at the bottom of your to do list:
Dodger Stadium, US Cellular, Tropicana

Top of my unseen wish list:
Miller Park, Globe Life (when did it become Globe Life?), AT&T, Minute Maid, Safeco, Kauffman

I've only been to four.

Camden Yards, Wrigley Field and PNC are all really nice. RFK Stadium, on the other had, was a total dump.

Maybe I'm just biased or none of you have been there, but The Ballpark in Arlington is pretty awesome...holds up very well and even better with some of the additions made the last couple years. Great and entertaining ballpark!

Of the current stadiums, I have only been to Wrigley, Oakland and Petco. I went to Wrigley probably 30 years ago, so I cant really comment on that. Petco is absolutely great! I have not been to the Colosseum since Mt. Davis was put in, but before it was there, that was a nice park. It looks putrid now.
