I think liking the genre is needed to appreciate this. Im okay with the genre but more for it's energy and atmosphere and not the lyrics so I find this is difficult to listen to.Do yourself a favor and watch until very the end, even if you don't like the genre.
Absolutely incredible vocal performance at a live session!
Fair enough.I think liking the genre is needed to appreciate this. Im okay with the genre but more for it's energy and atmosphere and not the lyrics so I find this is difficult to listen to.
Yeah, i'm definitely not a musician. Most of my love of music comes from listening to blues-inspired music in the late 80s/early 90s and retro video games from the late 80s/early 90s.Fair enough.
As an average musician it impresses me.
*The hammer on bass lines are a cool touch.
*The polyrhythmics between the strings is very well done.
*The drummer puts on an absolute clinic on the highhat/snare. His open stance jazz style on metal music is very impressive.
*Her voice! I still don't get how she can hit a high E5 on the 3rd "chorus" and then switch back to the growling in an instant. Plus, while I get the disdain for the growling style (as a metalhead I dislike 90% of that style) hers is actual singing and she enunciates!
To each their own, but people should be impressed by what is being done regardless of their taste in music.
