Ballou (Chicken egg left in beach sand for about 4-5 weeks, Black as coal when the shell is cracked, I vomited when I bit it, considered a delicacy)

I believe that is called Balut. I thought it was made with duck eggs, but I could be wrong.

Ballou was the last name of a character in the movie, "Cat Ballou."

Kangaroo jerky is disgusting, and there are not many jerkys you can say that about. Elk jerky, on the other hand, is wonderful.

ive had elk its damn good
Elk might be my favorite meat. It's lean cow. It's a grazer. Eats grass, primarily. That why venison is so gamey, because they eat branches and leaves en sech.

Elk is just like a cow, but leaner. It is excellent, IMO.

When I was in the Navy we'd always try something odd in a different country. Had Habu-sake in Japan (they take a pit viper and drown it in a bottle of Sake). Kinda like a tequila worm on steroids.

The worst, absolute worst to try was Balut in the Phillipines. Not so much the taste, but the look and knowing what you are eating.

Tastewise, vegamite in australia. Looks like Motor oil in paste form, and tastes so so bad and they use it like butter.

Rocky Mountain Oysters are surprisingly good, but only if you're drinking copious amounts of beer. My 2 worst meals by far were lamb chops in Paris and curried goat in the Caymans.
