Numbers don’t mean shit with narrative. This is what the NBA is. NBA media treats every series as the end all be all when it comes to the narrative. Every winner is the next MJ level champion and every loser of a series is whale shit and over rated.

I think we are expecting to him to shoot more than 13 shots and score more than 15 points. I think we are expecting him to shoot more than 2x in the first half and score more than 4 in the first half. Not asking for much

I made this same criticism, and it is fair, but those 2 players are also some of the very few you would trade Ant for straight up. He is not the best in the league, or the best under 25. He is top 5 in those categories. In the playoffs you are likely to run into the best, and Ant has run into better players, who played better.

It is also fair to point out that similar age, but they are 26, he is 23. Close in the grand scheme, but a massive deal in NBA trajectory. Most common age for players peaks is 27.
