The Buffalo Sabres are among six teams that have been asked by the NHL whether they would like to start next season in Europe. Edmonton, Washington, New York Rangers, Anaheim and Los Angeles have also been presented with this opportunity, but there has been confirmation yet. If they accept, the Sabres will play in Mannheim, Germany, which would be one of multiple venues hosting games.

Europe deserves to see some NHL games. They do provide us with lots of talent. Germany's kind of a weird choice, tho. I appreciate Marco Sturm and all, but...

I know, it's not the most exciting thread, but there's really nothing else going on.

Forever remember this, as this was my first ever season as an NHL fan.

:D

I know.. I was in the Army and got stationed in Colorado springs in 96. Was a huge Avs fan until I met my wife 10 years later, who had ties with her family working in the Kings organization.
