All of these start up football leagues start their season after the NFL season. I think they should rethink this model and instead have their season during actual football season, but just schedule their games for the weekdays.

Think about it....Sure NFL has MNF, but MNF has sucked for 10+ years. They have Thursday night and that is a hit or miss...So if the XFL scheduled their games on Tuesday, Wednesday and occasionally Thursday and a Friday they may get more viewers and more interest. I know I tune into MAC games on Tuesday and Wednesday night because it's football and I want something to watch after work during the work week.

By the time spring rolls around it just doesn't feel like football time. Just think placing your games midweek could draw more viewers and more interest.
I think that would not work. There just isn't enough interest for a new league on the weekdays. Not sure they could get a decent crowd at the game.

The XFL schedule. Looks like the games will be easier to find than they were for the AAF

Will any of these new leagues complete the season?

Well considering the only reason the AAF folded was because they ran out of money I don’t think the XFL has to worry about not completing their season.

With those TV deals there is no way the XFL doesn't complete the season. Their concern is drawing enough interest and ratings to get a second season.

There is enough money up front for three seasons, assuming they make no profit

Steve Levy, Dan Orlovsky and Pat McAfee will be calling the main XFL games on ESPN
Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt will be FOX's main XFL broadcast team.

The secondary teams have not been finalized yet for both networks.

That's some star power

Curt Menefee calls a pretty good game. He's wasted in that studio

The League has been consulting with a number of former NFL players and coaches, including Doug Flutie and Jim Caldwell.

Well, prepare for whichever team Caldwell is coaching to go 0-10
