Well said, the difference in the game was the play of the two offensive lines. Maybe I was wrong on Long. He got beat a few times but so does everyone. But he was a stud most of the game , especially on the game clinching Jones run by sealing off the LB.

I still can't believe how we kicked their ass all game. Take away the celebration penalty and one bad decision by Kirk and we won probably 90% of the remaining plays. It would have been typical Redskins to allow them to tie a game they were in control of but our pass rush was just too much. So happy today!

When Logan went out for the Eagles I knew we would get the running game going. He is their best run defender that was a huge loss for them. I agree we did kick their ass all game. The NFL people had the Eagles as a top 10 team in the NFL. I wonder what they are thinking now.

Also, while our o-line was a big reason for the loss, the highly touted d-line also got owned. No pressure all day and freelancing like crazy against the run instead of maintaining their lanes. That was brutal. Wentz barely even had the ball for the second and third quarters of the game.

You sure it was all freelancing and not by design? The Eagles did mange to come up with 5 TFLs for a total of -18 yards. Whether legit or not, I imagine some coaching staffs think hitting Jones in the backfield increases the possibility he's put the rock on the carpet. maybe that factored into the freelancing.

The Skins churning out 26 first downs and going 7/13 on 3rd down conv. While Philly only managed 10 first downs and was 4/12 on 3rd down conv certainly didn't help far as the Philly offense not seeing the ball much.

I'm not sure how people can't just credit the Redskins offense and the run game when PHI had a top 5 defense coming in. Did they just forget how to play in week 6?

As for Wentz, is it possible the league is figuring him out? How about all those sacks? We got pressure all over...not just against their RT.

Agree. Someone mentioned that Philly was missing one of their top run stoppers. So what. The Redskins were without their top offensive weapon & have been missing major parts of the secondary for most of the season as well as incurring other injuries. It is all part of being in the NFL. Like you said - just give the Redskins credit.

When Logan went down for the Eagles their best run defender it changed everything. Not that I am taking anything away from the Redskins oline but that was a key injury that benefited us greatly.

Cox was awful yesterday. the roughing the passer call made the difference in the game. Im just pointing out that Logan going out had something to do with our success on the ground. We should be able to run against the Lions Sunday.

Both the offense and the defense played well. Best scheme Barry has deployed since coming here. He had the CBs play tight right at the LOS. Wentz didn't know how to respond when all his receivers were jammed at the line. Then he mixed up the prsssure, keeping wentz constantly guessing. Welcome to the NFL, wentz. You're gonna be fine, but your education will be painful at times.

Oh we played all kinds of coverages. Pressure changes everything on D. To help Mai Tai they chipped with a back in the 2nd half taking away one of Wentz safety valves. His adjustment to the D was to run and improvise. He did not audible into better plays. He had that one big pass then some yardage late in the game when we were playing prevent. Good job by all. Kid has some skills though.

Wentz flashes impressive throws but he isn't asked to do all that much most of the time. He looks way better than I thought he would but he's got a ways to go before I'm impressed/worried.
