wellwood has replaced nodl as my favorite bottom 6 guy.

Wellwood go ZOOM.

Seriously, he went from blueline to blueline faster than the Isle made it from center ice to blueline. Shame he didn't score, because he turned on the jets!

Also, I found it amusing that he tried to hit somebody. Wellwood, I love you bud, but you probably double in weight when you pick up your stick. Don't anger the 230 pound defenseman.

I want to see a line of Wellwood, Read and Voracek. Put them out against a slower d pairing and let the fun begin. If Jvr were healthy I would throw him in also.

I really don't ever remember seeing a guy with the puck go from point a to point b that fast. If he learns to finish he could score 30.

Like Coots, the kid seems to do just about everything right, BUT they both really need to beef it up in the muscle department this off season.

Both get over matched in every 1 on 1.

No, I'm not saying that they have to be Rod the Bod specimens to play their respective styles of play, but to get the most out of their game(s) they must get stronger.

agreed on both accounts, but even more so in wellwood's case.. he's really small when you catch him haha

love his speed though, god can he move

This kid has earned a roster spot and he's done it while playing only about 11 minutes per game on the fourth line late in the season. He is a difference maker right now with just his speed alone. It's really something to behold.

He's not piling up tons of points or anything, but you don't expect him to in his current role and with linemates like Rinaldo, Shelley, Couturier or Talbot. He is managing to score the occasional goal though and his +/- of +9 is superb through 15 games. Yes, he probably needs to get stronger, but I love his contributions right now as is. That speed is really wreaking havoc when he uses it at the right times.

Okay. During the offseason, who gets traded for a top dman? We have so much depth for forwards that this would be ideal for a trade. I'd consider keeping Kubina, Grossman, Mez. I'd prefer to get a stud to replace Pronger. I think it's safe to say Pronger is done.

While I completely agree with all of this post......I think I'll wait till the off season before getting into all of that..

Keep both Kubina and Grossmann. Keep the young core of forwards.

Jesus I hope to God we dont resign Carle. His next contract is going to have Pronger like absurdity.

Totally agree

Let's see how everyone performs in this years playoffs ,then go from there.

Let's see how Danny B. does this year in playoffs-he would be my 1st candidate for trading.
