Yeah, week 1. Been thinking this for a long time but never moved on it, drafted this guy or picked him off the wire. Amendola: New guy and has bad luck injuries. Gronk: Out for a few. Thompkins: Rookie. Hernandez: Likes to kill people so he is in jail. Who is the one receiver that Brady would be comfortable with? The one that has 2 first half TD's.......................Edleman. At least I only drafte Amendola in one league..........

Thompkins had a handful of targets so he might still have value.*

*I'm just telling myself this because I started him over Steve Smith who was facing Seattle's D, but he had 50 yards and a TD anyway.

Want to feel dumber? Pick up Edelmen this week and watch Brady target him twice over the next 3 weeks

Edelman makes sense as a flex. Thompkins acted like a moron, and Sudfeld was a dud evidently. Dobson is hurting, and Amendola is perpetually sprained or strained.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

I feel a little smart... I had Edelman ranked the highest - 148 in our consensus 200. Bandit was next with a ranking of 159. Sam had him 180, Foot at 185, and Lefty at 191.

Problem is, most of my leagues only have 168 players and 24 are D/ST and K. And another 11 or 12 may be for a backup QB. Dropping eligible skill players down to 132-133? So Edelman missed the cut.

Could-a, would-a, should-a....

I'm thinking about dropping Thompkins for Edelmen but I'm conflicted. Thompkins did have 14 targets so he may turn it around. But the flipside is Brady might not trust him since he did drop so many and just role with Edelmen. I'm leaning more towards doing it.

Long term (this year) both Thompkins and Dobson surpass Edelman in targets. If you need an immediate play Edelman may be worth a look though.

I'm just mad because every time I see his name that "Edelweiss" song from the Sound of Music pops into my head. Been relentless for two days now.

Edelman, Edelman, every Sunday we see you
Small and white, only hands in sight
Tom looks happy to see you
Crossing the slot may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow to the end zone
Edelman, Edelman
Bless Tom's right arm forever

Welp, I did it. I eagerly await Thursday to watch Edleman have 2 catches for 20 yards and leave in the 3rd quarter with an injury.
