lets go step by step

qb i think the team has finally said 3 isnt the guy and he wont ever be . KC has a chance to sink or swim and we should let him . colt is a good back up we should draft a qb , doesnt have to be a 1st rounder but we should get one

rb we have a great stable of backs here and if jones does well then we can let AM walk if needs be

wr . great shape here with 2 good vets and some good youth

te reed is still and injury question and carrier could make paulson expendable next year

o/line young right side should get better as the season progresses our depth is better with kujo and long but we still need work at center and LG

kai and way seem to be a good unit

on defense

d/line is better then last years but may not be the pass rush force we hoped it would be

olb kerrigan murphy and smith are solid with only kerrigan being dynamic . jeffcoat and bates have good futures

cb i like culliver and breeland as our starter (hall , eh ) amerson is a disappointment for a 2nd rounder we need help here

safety goldston doesnt seem to be a long term answer duke is ok so far but we need help . i like jarret alot

i think we are a 6 win team and we could be better if we get these things

end of the drama
better tackling
better discipline
better clock management
taking care of the ball better
better special teams play

I don't consider WR as "great shape". Garcon and Jackson are about to hit 30. Garcon contract going to expire after 2016. Cap hit is decent at around 10 million. Jackson is the following year, but his final year has low dead cap hit so they have some options there if/when he starts making noise about a new deal. I don't know what the market will play out, but I don't think the book says to extend 30 year old WRs with big deals, yet something tells me those 2 guys might want to get paid again. Plus neither have been exactly pictures of great health.

For the immediate future, I think they are very good combo, but they need to start looking at getting a future stud WR1 type in the mix soon.

That's not what I'm saying....they might not be Redskins for much longer the way the NFL business is done. This year and probably next, yes that is a fine duo. When I think of "great" WR situation, I look at units like the Packers, Broncos, Steelers.

Forget about next year. Regarding this years issues, I think tackling on defense is going to be a huge issue. Gholsten was awful Saturday night. Amerson cant tackle and Hall is just old. The only real players we have in the secondary are Culliver and Beeland. Murphy has to step up this year. I didn't like his pre-season at all. The Skins raved about him in the off-season it has not translated to the field yet. Actually Smith has beaten him out in pre-season but Murphy will probably get the start alongside Kerrigan. On the plus side our run defense should be greatly improved. Someone else has to step up in the pass rush dept. Whether its Hatcher, Murphy, Paea.

As far as the offense I think we will be just fine. KC will move this team. Their are enough weapons on offense to score points. If Moses and Scherff gel this year this could be a great o-line. If Reed stays healthy he could be very year. Garcon needs to step up. The passing offense should thrive which should open up the running game. Defenses shouldn't be able to put 8 men in the box b/c they have to respect Jax deep speed. This opens up Reed and the running game.

We are going to surprise a lot of people this year. Losing Galette was huge. We should compete for the division this year. I am just not afraid of any defense in the division this year.

Neither team has game planned and they haven't played a game that counts. Lots of things could happen that we haven't seen yet.

How will Cousins do in a real game
How will the young right side of the OL do
I think TE is far from answered
Defense is a complete unknown until they start playing games that count

I agree with a lot of what was said previously but I don't think we have for sure reads based preseason play. Hell if preseason counted we would be world champs.
