Kareem Jackson - is a top signing in my view. He represents a position of need - he is versatile - he is a top tackler - and absolutely creamed P Lindsay in a game in Houston last year.

James - I wonder if he plays LT - moving Boles over to RT - either way - it is nice to see a top Oline guy land in Denver.

There goes about 60% of the available roster money.

My guess is James stays on the right side. It is what he has played pretty much most of his career. So no reason to move both tackles to positions they have not been working at for the past few years.

My Ja'Wuan James take from before free agency:
Ja'wuan James | OT | Miami Dolphins
The Broncos perhaps already pulled off one of the biggest coups of the offseason when Elway was able to pry Pittsburgh’s offensive line coach Mike Munchak to join the Broncos’ new staff fulfilling the same position in Dove Valley. As one of the two finalists for the head-coaching position in Denver this offseason, the fact that Denver was able to hire Fangio as their head coach and still bring in Munchak can be considered nothing but a steal for the franchise.
As New England has shown with their success with Dante Scarnecchia (and their lack of success without him), outside of the head coach himself, there is no coach as important to a team’s success as their offensive line coach. While Sean Kugler was a great get for Denver last season, Munchak is arguably a top-three offensive line coach in the NFL, and hiring him will provide huge dividends for the Broncos going forward.
Despite the addition of Munchak to the coaching staff, the Broncos still have questions galore across their O-line. Ronald Leary may not be back next season given his inability to stay healthy. Furthermore, four players who took a large portion of starting snaps over the last few seasons are set to hit free agency in Max Garcia, Billy Turner, Jared Veldheer, and Matt Paradis.
The only ‘guarantee’ starters that will be back next year on the O-line are left tackle Garett Bolles and interior offensive lineman Connor McGovern, the rest is up in the air, meaning a reshuffle and insertion of new faces is very much in play. A player that has been linked to the Broncos multiple times via trades over the past few seasons is Miami Dolphins' right tackle Ja'wuan James.
Drafted with the 19th overall pick in the 2014 Draft, James has incredible size, length, mobility for a right tackle in the NFL. Standing at 6-foot-6, 315 pounds with 35-inch arms, James is a classic ‘first guy off the bus’, as he just looks incredible. Given how Denver sounds like they will be playing a hybrid blocking scheme this year, with both zone and power concepts, this just further enhances James' value for the team.
Strong at the point of attack with the ability to generate space in one-on-one situations, good in double teams and passing off defenders, while also being smooth laterally and going forward, James can be a great tackle in either blocking scheme. This power also shows in pass sets as James has a good anchor against bull-rushers and can stop powerful rushers, but also uses his outstanding length and mobility to keep speed-rushers from getting an angle to the quarterback.
At just 26 years old, James combination of youth, size, and athleticism will make him one of the most coveted free agents in the NFL this offseason. Also known as a leader and a high character player with a strong work ethic, many teams will be tripping over themselves to secure a high upside long-term fix at one of the tackle positions.
James came into the NFL still pretty raw technically, and injuries have kept him from hitting his true ceiling, but this can be seen as a positive as well as the best may be yet to come for him. The biggest concern is those injuries, as he has only finished on season without missing some time with injury.
James may very well reset the right tackle market this offseason, but carries risk given his propensity for injury. If he stays healthy, he could provide Denver one of the highest upside tackle bookends in the NFL and could finally fix the longstanding problem of the right tackle position in Denver.
Projected contract: Four years, $42 million.
