You are so right!

I should be loving and nice and never say anything on the internet negative about any athlete or celebrity ever. Cause a Laker fan would never do that.

Like the way all you Laker fans treat LeBron.

What a load of hypocritical bullshit that reply was.

Glad you see it my way, thank you. (NOT)

Read the this book, it will do you some good.

He is smart, I will give him that but he is not even remotely close to being a genius as True Lakers Fan suggests.

Lavar saw the opportunity to make himself known and did just that. In fact he was so well known that you could not turn on ESPN without him becoming a topic of discussion. He was all over social media and the news. In that aspect he was very smart. In the end he screwed it all up. He will not even come close to the money he had hoped he could get. The BBB will probably have a good following among Laker fans but nationwide it will be a flop.

Agree. He definitely overplayed his hand.

I am pretty sure at some point Lonzo is going to get a shoe deal. His agent is going to work all of that out and thankfully his agent is not Lavar.

It'd be funny if Lavar put in a bid for BBB.

You homers crack me up. I personally think Lavar Ball is a pompous ass who is full of shit. He talks out of his ass constantly. This is based on what I have seen from him and he had no problem creating that image. I personally think it is nothing more than a front. He wanted the shock factor and he got it. He has to accept the negativity that comes with all of that.

I have never once said anyting negative about him being a husband and nor have I said anything negative about him being a father. Lavar Ball is probably a fantastic father. You only have to look at his sons to see that. They are great kids who are humble, polite and work hard. That is something they learned from their parents. Lavar Ball the "marketing genius" is a jackass IMO.

This is actually pretty much my view on him. Based on what I read about how Magic and Pelinka taking a trip to Chino Hills convinced them to go ahead and draft Lonzo...I agree that much of what we see is contrived.

I guess when they went out there, they saw him working out a bunch of kids in the neighborhood along with Lonzo. Apparently that's just something he does and all of the neighborhood kids are always welcome.

They said that he and the boys are dedicated to taking care of his wife to help her recover from a stroke. They also said that he cooked breakfast for everyone and did the dishes afterward.

I still don't like the crap he does and says publicly, but when I heard all of that, it changed my perspective on him a little.

He's proving how classy he is... :L

Seriously, though. Why do they allow him to coach? How long before the parents of other kids on the team revolt? I'd be pissed if I were one of the parents, and they're cancelling/pulling out of games.

It is a balance. Playing on that team also generates a lot of attention for their kid, which can be very positive if they perform well. The primary goal of AAU basketball at the 16 and 17 and under levels is exposure for kids. Playing on Ball's teams will get them seen.

But, I wouldn't let my kid play for him if He had a comparable alternative.

The bad part about all of this is that the ref in question was a D1 official, not some scrub used to officiating JV girls games. Lavar looks really bad here with the comments he made after the game. Absolutely no place for it, and he is wrong to question her resume.

The other thing that Lavar has to realize is that his antics put a target on him. There are some officials out there who will seek confrontation with him. I seriously doubt that was the case in this instance with a college ref, but I have seen it happen at lower levels for sure. Most tournament directors aren't going to remove the official simply because Lavar doesn't like their calls.

Fortunately the organizers stepped up and did something. The referee company ended it's relationship with Adidas.

Referee Company Ends 5-Year Relationship With Adidas Over LaVar Ball Incident

After all the backlash Adidas did issue an apology.

Adidas apologizes for actions after LaVar Ball's tantrum. But how did it happen in the first place?

Lavar is trolling, he literally said in his response that the media and people like you are basically for retarded for even talking about it.

Ball responded to Jordan's assertion Tuesday as mere "entertainment."

"Look at everybody, man. Everybody used to say, 'You know, I think Wilt Chamberlain is better than Shaq; I think Oscar Robertson is better than LeBron.' Now the story is LaVar is better than Michael Jordan," Ball told The Really Big Show on ESPN 850 WKNR in Cleveland.

"C'mon, I didn't even play basketball in the pros and they're talking about me and Michael Jordan. That's what I'm talking about. He tells me he can beat me with one leg. Well, guess what: I can beat him with one hand. Now we're both ... looking like we can't play."

You are absolutely correct.......Lavar is trolling. He is getting all the attention he wants. The statement you bolded is a clear example of his trolling. He makes the comment that he did not play in the pros and they are talking about him and Jordan. The only reason that is actually happening is because he has made bold claims that he would destroy Jordan one on one. He does not make those statements he is never mention in the same sentence as Jordan.

What is funny about the whole thing is that Lavar thinks he would dominate Jordan. It is as if he is making the comments based on his current size and not when he was younger. Checking around it appears Lavar weighs 300+. I am having a hard time believing that because he does not look it. However according to Wikipedia he weighs 320 and at that weight he would easily be able to back Jordan under the paint because we are talking about a 100lb difference.

If we go back to their playing days Lavar weighed 245 and Jordan 216 but I am not sure if that is high or not. and both of them were 6'6" If that is the case even though he had a weight advantage there is no way Lavar would just bull his way into the paint. Taking into account that Jorday is arguably one of he best defenders to ever play the game I think he would easily control Lavar. Lavar also commented how Jordan would be forced to stay on the outside and that was funny. Jordan in his prime had no problem dunking on players much bigger than Lavar was in his prime.
