Enjoy it while you can. The Isles are going to be really good in two to three years.
That's what Isles fans were saying 2-3 years ago

I'm actually happy Richards chose the Rangers. It's going to look even worse if they fail to make the playoffs.
I don't really care if the Isle become competetive or not.
If the Rangers don't make the playoffs (sans major injuries), I will be very surprised. I really like Brad Richards though so maybe I'm biased.

I like Richards too. The problem I have with the Rangers is Gaborik really didn't look like the same player last year. Maybe a great center like Richards setting him up will help, but Sather has a lot of work to do with his RFA's before the season starts. Guys like Dubinsky & Boyle are going to be what decides the Rangers fate next season. If the Rangers get the same production from those guys they did last year they should be fine.
All good lol, as I'm sure you know its just aggravating watching people salivate ovrr the thought of your best player heading to the Uganda market, even when it probably won't happenMaybe I'm misinterrupting the crap on twitter, it's likely in fact. Something about wanting term...I dunno. Disregard my comment.
Richards year by year: $12m, $12m, $9m, $8.5m, $8.5m, $7m, $1m, $1m, $1m.
from $7m down to $1m the next year?
I thought that sort of thing (dropping 86% in one year) was frowned on

Definitely front loaded eh? How old is he again?
he's 6 years (and $55mill) from retirement, that's how old he is.
I'm disappointed there wasn't a TV special where Brad Richards told us he's taking his talents to Coney Island.
Does this mean he follows Labron and not win it all this year?
Sorry. His longterm suspension this year is already reserved for one, Jaromir Jagr.
He'll be under the media spotlight in New York, hopefully he'll fare better than Drury, Gomez, and Redden.[/QUOTE]
This is what I'm worried about, but I'm going to be optimistic now that he has signed.
Put me in the camp that loves that the Flyers - Penguins rivalry is boiling hot...
