I'm actually happy Richards chose the Rangers. It's going to look even worse if they fail to make the playoffs.

I don't really care if the Isle become competetive or not.

If the Rangers don't make the playoffs (sans major injuries), I will be very surprised. I really like Brad Richards though so maybe I'm biased.

I like Richards too. The problem I have with the Rangers is Gaborik really didn't look like the same player last year. Maybe a great center like Richards setting him up will help, but Sather has a lot of work to do with his RFA's before the season starts. Guys like Dubinsky & Boyle are going to be what decides the Rangers fate next season. If the Rangers get the same production from those guys they did last year they should be fine.

Not me. The rebuild began in 2008. It takes time for guys to develop.

Truth. Secondary scoring is key. I still think they at least make it regardless of the fate of those guys...the secondary scoring + some other issues (chemistry and such) will decide if they are legit contenders or just Washington's first round victory.

Well, probably. I mean you have 10-12 teams I think have a pretty legit shot this coming season, so the odds aren't good. Lebron will probably get his, though it will be hard when they aren't actually playing the sport. Richards...time will tell.

All injury jokes aside I am curious how Richards is going to like the physical style of play in the Atlantic division.Seems to me the rags are the least physical of the batch.The Devs Flyers Pens and Isles have A lot of heavy hitters who don't shy away from an opening to lay someone out.Not doing to judge the contract until I see how it plays out but the risk is Definately there.

I absolutely hate that Jagr signed there, but it's certainly the most interesting outcome...can't wait for these games and 24/7.
