Now, you have to know that you're not even close to first fiddle here. There's a few other names that are ahead of you on the 'super-star scale'. In Philly there's this new guy Jagr, and some young guys Giroux and VanRiemsdyk, and in New Jersey there's a few fellas by the names of Kovalchuk and Parise, oh, and in New York, just across the way from you is some kid named Tavares. Also, there's Sidney Crosby and Evegeni Malkin.

...welcome to the show.

Fucking Christ. Our division is seriously up for grabs. Anyone but the Isle could take it.

Well, Parise may not be back for the Devils now. Things looking messy.

They did alright without him last year.

There are going to be some really intense games this year. So many story lines. Alright...ready for the season to start please.

I don't know, Brad Richards is a good hockey player, but part of me is glad that the Flames are not locked into a 9 year contract with Mr. Richards.

That said, I harbour no ill will towards Brad singing with NYR, heck if I was 31 years old and has a chance to play in New York, I'd probably jump at the chance. I would have chosen LA due to the fact I like the beach and West Coast lifestyle, but hey that's me.

He'll be under the media spotlight in New York, hopefully he'll fare better than Drury, Gomez, and Redden.

Here's hoping a Matt Cooke elbow lands right on Richards' temple next season

I think he'll do great in NYR. Not sure how this contract looks five years from now, but IMO $6.66 for him right now and the next couple years is a really good cap hit, considering the market. He's a significant piece that instantly makes them a playoff team. The question is whether they put it all together and become a legit contender or still remain on the fringe. I have a lot of trust in Torts though. I think they contend.

Any division tougher than the Atlantic now? Four teams will make it in again this year, I think.

Wow. It's like Deja Vu. Once everybody saw the kind of contract that was thrown at Gaborik, they all were relieved they didn't bite...

...And quit being a bitter Leafs fan and tell your team to be as active as Burke's big mouth has been for the last month.

I think the Leafs will be a be an active trading team honestly...Burke has the pressure on him...and Tim Connolly doesn't solve that.

Hahah, I dunno, is he back from his tour in Afghanistan? Though it's a great noble thing he's doing...he's doing on the most important day of the hockey calander.

Yeah, I'm sure that was what he was counting on knowing full well he was going to fail signing Richards. Going somewhere he thought he wouldn't be criticized for.

I must ask how? Arbitration was filed to buy time and GARUNTEE another year as a worst case scenario and there is 16 mil coming off the books next season. Lou even said yesterday 'he's not as much of a priority today because we know hell be here'

Maybe I'm misinterrupting the crap on twitter, it's likely in fact. Something about wanting term...I dunno. Disregard my comment.

Leave me to my misery. If your team had been as bad as mine the last 6-7 years, how would your mood be?

Enjoy it while you can. The Isles are going to be really good in two to three years.

I'm actually happy Richards chose the Rangers. It's going to look even worse if they fail to make the playoffs.
