Future Flyer Cup-Winner
The Flyers host the Leafs tonight in the second game of the three game series (The Leafs took the first one in Toronto). It's the return of James van Riemsdyk to Philly after he was traded away for Luke Schenn. The Flyers are where they've been for a few weeks now - hovering just out of the playoffs. The Leafs are in 7th, but have lost 3 of their last 4 on the road.
Flyers injuries: Meszaros, Read, Shelley. Bryz is in net tonight; despite the Flyers record he's tied for 3rd in the league in wins (probably because he is leading the league in starts...)
Leafs injuries: Frattin, Lupul. I believe Riemer is available, but it looks like Scrivens is probably in net tonight for his seventh straight start.
Gonna be an interesting one tonight. Hartnell will take the ice again in the second game since coming back from a leg injury; hopefully he'll be more Hartnell-y out there (the goal scoring kind, not the goalie-running kind). I'm also hoping Talbot can put one on the board - he's goalless so far this season. Phaneuf is having a bad year - he's 2-5-7 on the PP, but 1-1-2 and -6 at even strength. Might want to take advantage of him and Kostka (who is -7).
Let's make this a good home stand, boys, and LET'S GO FLYERS!
