We go from an away game Sunday night in San Francisco, to a Monday night game at So-Fi stadium. After that complete disaster in S.F., I am hoping the Rams come in with a renewed sense of urgency as the Cards just killed the CaBoys and are tied with the Rams for second place. Our defense is going to have a brilliant game as Foles is having another resurgent year and the Bears are 5-1 at this point. Our offense has to stop being so stupid and lazy and start playing like the champions they want to be otherwise we are going to be looking at back-to-back losses, the first time this year. The next two weeks before the bye week are going to be pivotal for our chances at post-season play. WE shall see if the Rams really want to win or if they just want to talk about winning. I think AD really misses the fans as he was and is the only professional sports player in all of professional sports who appealed to his commissioner to let the fans come to the stadium from the beginning. There are so many issues haunting the Rams right now that this game could go either way. I actually will be able to get on this board and watch the fray, I think.

Until last week I thought the Rams had improved from last season and now I'm not so sure. And if Sloman misses one more extra point I'm going to go down there and kick him in his butt. Short returnable kick offs and missed extra points are killing momentum.

Another scathing article by a staff writer at Yahoo Sports who normally prints bullshit, this guy presented a spot on article about our LBing corp. This writer once again exposes the failure of McSnead to address this obvious weakness in our defense. When Littleton and Hager were released nothing was done to fill the void left by Littleton who was our only really good inside LB. Nothing was done in the draft and nothing was done in FA. Because of that inactivity, we now have Reeder, Young, and Kiser attempting to cover that hole left by Littleton and the run game defense has suffered ever since. Now teams are actually planning to run the ball knowing our run defense is very weak just as the Whiners exposed on national T.V.

Looks like McVay is done with Slo-boy at kicker.

The Los Angeles Rams announced Tuesday that they have signed kicker Kai Forbath to their active roster off the Bears' practice squad.
Forbath, 33, has connected on 131 of his 151 career field goal attempts (86.8 percent). Last season, he spent four games with the Dallas Cowboys and made all 11 of his field goal attempts. He began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent signee with the Cowboys in 2011 and has also spent time with the New England Patriots, Washington Football Team, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars.

I don't know why McVay soured so badly on Hajrullahu? The guy was way better than this stiff Forbath. Shoot Frikin Ficken is still available!!

The Rams also announced that they have placed outside linebacker Ogbo Okoronkwo on injured reserve. Rams head coach Sean McVay said last week he expected Okoronkwo to miss 4-6 weeks.

So now that OKO goes on injured reserve, we now only have Kiser has a legitimate run defender and even he is struggling with injuries. The Rams now need to cut Young, Ebukam, Reeder, and some other LBing dead weight like Polite and Hollins and bring in a couple of better inside LBs. or we are doomed to our second straight year of not reaching the playoffs.

Also, Blake Bortles has been signed by the Denver Broncos PS.

If I had to play Snead here and we needed to revamp our inside LBing corp, barring inside PS information, who would I bring in? There are three fairly young run defenders that are available right now: Darren Bates, Najee Goode, and Wesley Woodyard. WE could always ask Hager to come back and Alec Ogletree is available but I think he is pretty much done. lol.

On the DL. Instead of signing damage goods in A-Rob, we could have signed Danny Shelton for just 9 million for 2 years which is a million more than what he got from Detroit who signed him for $8 million for 2 years. Some others we could bring in right now who are good run stoppers and decent on the pass rush but would occupy the double team to free-up AD: Snacks Harrison, Xavier Williams, Jonathan Harkin, and Akeem Spence.

We have got to get AD some help and one of the guys I would play more is Morgan Fox. If we switch to the 4-3 or even the 5-2, we could go with a D-Line of Morgan Fox-DE, AD-DT, Brockers-DT, and Terrell Lewis-DE. LBs could be Ebukam-OLB, Kiser MLB, and Floyd, OLB. Not too shabby.

If we were smart a couple of months hence and switched to the 4-3 as originally rumored when McVay hired Staley, imagine a D-line of: AD-DE, Brockers-DT, Danny Shelton-DT, and Terrell Lewis-DE.

Not too shabby either.

This is very enlightening. This shows the players we are still paying. Boggles the imagination as to why and why we don't have money many times to really go after the new talent that we need!!

Banks is on the PS and Patrick and Hughes are now on the active roster so they are removed from the cap hit as a non-playing player contract-wise.

We should have kept Franklin-Myers who was going to be a very good DE.

Why didn’t he just sign Lirim instead of bringing in a retread kicker with limited range?
That is a very good question ALR. This process with Kickers and McSnead provides insight into the thinking of McSnead and perhaps Bonemago and why they simply refuse to go with the BPA to achieve success? Nobody seems to know the answer to that question. Instead of signing a number of better options at least from the probability perspective of statistics, McSnead bring in a stiff from Dallas. IDK, maybe Bones in Dallas gave them a reference. Everyone now knows that Slo-boy is done. But you watch, McVay will string this out from the perspective that Slo-boy should not be punished for missing Extra Points or FGs. WTF?

Here is what we a re doing right going into the Bears contest Monday night and this comes from Chris Collinsworth's PFF.

PFF: Rams have 4th-best offense in NFL this season

While some may still doubt how good the Los Angeles Rams are after facing the NFC East in four of their first five games, they could only play the teams on their schedule, and based on the way they performed against their first five opponents, they look like legitimate contenders in the NFC.

Pro Football Focus likes what it has seen from the Rams this season, with the analytics putting L.A. among the best offenses and defenses in the NFL. PFF’s EPA metric put the Rams defense fourth in the league, and based on grading, the offense is also in the top five.

PFF has graded the Rams offense out as the fourth-best in football, behind only the Seahawks, Packers and surprisingly, the Browns. The Vikings rank fifth to round out the top five.

PFF’s Top-5 offenses this season: 1. Seattle Seahawks - 86.8 2. Green Bay Packers - 86.2 3. Cleveland Browns - 84.7 4. Los Angeles Rams - 84.0 5. Minnesota Vikings - 81.0

Of PFF’s top five offenses, the Rams are the only team with a defense also ranked in the top five.
In fact, none of the top five offenses listed above have a defense in the top 15 of PFF’s rankings. The Browns are the highest-ranked at No. 17. The Seahawks are 21st, the Vikings are 22nd and the Packers are 25th.

Coincidentally, the Rams are also fourth in both total yards and yards allowed this season, while also allowing just the third-fewest points in the NFL. This is a well-rounded team built for the postseason, even if their only wins have come against the lowly NFC East.

We are doing some things right at least from a statistical perspective.

Goff's numbers look good but overall he doesn't seem the same as the QB who took the Rams to the SB.....

PFF and other NFL analysts have already stated that both offenses present a challenge to the opposing defense this week. However, if we play like we did against some of the weak NFC East teams, PFF has stated that we present a huge challenge to the Bears defense. If we come out with fire this week, we whip the Bears but good but if we play like those pussy unis, we are going to get our asses whipped.

id love to revisit those numbers after we play more quality opponents.
You are going to get your wish Jermaine because after the bye week, we have one of the toughest schedules that you'll find anywhere in the NFL and everyone knows it especially genius boy.

Which is why the wasted opportunities last week and in Buffalo hurt even more.

easier to absorb a tough schedule at 6-0 vs 4-2

On top of that, we'll play the Niners again probably with a healthy defense towards the end of the season. They just traded for a OLB from the Jets for only a 6rd pick.

And this is the very issue that has pissed me off about the Rams since McSnead has run the FO along with that complete idiot Kevin Demoff, Jermaine. I am soooo tired of other teams beating us to obvious good FAs that the other teams get for next to nothing. Two recent examples: Danny Shelton signing with Detroit for 8 million over 2 years; Jordon Harris from the Jets to the Niners for a sixth round pick and getting back a seventh rounder.

These types of deals only make the respective clubs better while the Rams FO sits around spanking their collective monkeys not even looking to check or even suggest a given player when changes are obviously needed. Oh we have great inside LBs, we don't need any help!! Or, we have AD, that is all we need kind of spooge thinking.

No, we wait for the big splash trade or FA then give-up a boatload for the player because we suddenly need a player or we go and spend gobs more money on a FA that is damaged goods. Case in point: A-Rob, the supposed run-stuffer who signed a bigger contract with the Rams than Shelton did with the Lions, has not played a down of Rams football, has never won a snooperbowl much less been in one, and continues to boggle the imagination as to why we even signed this guy in the first place.

I am soooo tired of this shit that I want a puke every time I see this happening with a guy who is supposed to be a genius but continues to eff-up like some third rate douchebag, like the Drama Queen or something!!

Not even at the bye week yet and we are facing a must win. I sure didn't see this coming two weeks ago.
