Hard to say. I still don't really know how good this team really is. I think this is a bit of a rebuilding year, but they should still be contenders and maybe even favorites to win the conference. I think next year may be the year they have a shot to play in the big game.

Yeah, I'm not real sure how good Bama is either at this point. I'm hoping they can get their shit together and play a complete game. Got the athletes and coaches, just gotta put it all together before we run up on LSU or even Ole Miss for that matter. I have faith though.

Both teams should only get better as the season progresses. Oklahoma may end up surprising the shit outta me like the 2000 team did.

Why should they be out of the top 25?

This is why polls shouldn't start until halfway through the season. The whole "so and so lost, they move down, so and so won, they move up" logic misses the point. The only question is, are the Wisconsin Badgers one of the best 25 teams in the country right now... and I think there are. There are not 25 teams in the country that would beat Wisconsin on a neutral field next Saturday.

That's the great thing about college football, you really never know what a team's gonna look like from year to year and nothing is more fun than watching everything come together as the season progresses.

I'm not trolling. You gotta laugh at this "unbias" poll because back in the day, once you lost it was move your team to the back of the line. Nowadays no one drops in the polls.

EXCEPT an OR ST team that opened against the # 3 FCS and lost by 3 pts. got dropped so far off the radar that beating an FBS non-AQ (Hawaii) and beating an IC (Utah) at Utah still won't get any votes. 2-1, 1-0 can't get back to even 25.

Everyone of those teams except Florida and South Carolina has lost to an undefeated ranked opponent...Aside from those two I don't think you should punish schools too badly for playing tough opponents early, especially OOC games.

Miami is undefeated but wasn't ranked at the time we played.. however I thought you all only cared about where they are ranked at the end of the season.. so if Miami doesn't lose a game I guess FL's loss won't look so bad then will it.. can't have it both ways..

If Miami runs the table it will make the loss look more valuable, but the possibility that Miami may go undefeated doesn't mean anyone gets a pass for losing to them while they were unranked. Live by the fucked up polls die by the fucked up polls?

Come week six or seven we'll have a fairly good idea of who is worthy of praise and who isn't.

I'm glad that the coaches poll is used, for at least one more year, instead of the AP. The coaches are more evenly placed throughout the country than the "pollsters". That's very evident. I'd also trust a coach's opinion over a sportswriter any day.
