Yeah and a rapist.. but let's over look that part

LMAO... Really?

That's utterly hilarious.

Clearly, you did not pay any attention to the case, or look into any of the details. Yet, you feel comfortable making such an accusation.

This says a lot about your character.

Perfect example of this headline reading, knee-jerk culture we live in.

Winston went to Florida State, she is a Gator fan...

Do you really need to know more?

With respect to the game, we simply are not a team that can survive multiple turnovers. If we commit multiple turnovers, we can expect more of this. If we take care of the ball, we can expect more games like the Atlanta game (With us winning some of them).

Really seems that simple.

I would rather have my name dragged in litigation than give money to someone who is supposedly lying. Man I think I'll just accuse you of r*pe and get paid then too!

Couple things- The game sucked... I couldn't even watch the post game and didn't have anything to say after the game. I can't wait for hockey season.
Rich...on Winston... It looks as if he's grown up and showed some more maturity than what he did coming out of college, I'll give him credit for that. With that said, a very short time ago a person of VERY questionable Dbag behavior: Stealing Crab legs, Standing on a table in cafe and yelling "F*&k her in the Pu$$y" Being accused of r*pe and settling out of court... and wasn't there something about a stolen laptop too?

These are the things that were reported. While it's true that his teammates supported him and said all the right things at the time... that type of behavior is deplorable and when those types of things come to light it's a big red flag in my book. I wouldn't trust him on my team and and wouldn't want him near my sisters or future daughters. That's my opinion. If you simply dismiss this stuff you're not being honest with yourself or you simply don't want to see it. (or you possibly have some anti-female/anti-feminist thing going on in your head- yeah, stop that) Cheers.

The laptop thing was not Winston (And not even at FSU I don't believe)...

The crab legs, I'll bet, were meant to be an under the table "gift" but someone didn't get the memo... That's just my guess on that. At worst it is petty theft and poor judgement for sure.

The Student Union, "F**k her in the P*ssy" thing? Yeah, no excuses there. Winston being an immature ass...

And the r*pe allegations... Evidence and testimony was shoddy and inconsistent. She got hit over the head, wait... no... she was drugged.... only... no drugs found in her system, etc... (And that is just one quick example). From there it was basically the accuser's Aunty trying to turn a quick buck in an attempt to get a settlement... There ended up being nothing quick about it, nor was the settlement likely NEAR what they wanted... No matter, I don't care to litigate this case again, but would imagine being an FSU Alum I followed along and researched facts as they came out MUCH more closely than most... Signs point to bullshit on that one.

Edit: And I agree.. The game sucked.

So, that means you'll overlook details in a clear bull shit r*pe allegation? That's not football... that's bigger than your stupid rivalry.

If Aaron Rodgers was falsely accused of r*pe tomorrow, I couldn't even imagine continuing to label him as a rapist for the rest of his career. What a POS.

A judge upheld his defamation claims against the accuser. Both sides eventually dismissed their suits.

Winston’s defamation claim against accuser upheld
Bucs QB Jameis Winston's civil lawsuit officially closes

The university settled out of court with the accuser, in their handling of the complaint. They paid her 950K.

You have not looked into the case. Every witness involved says that they saw Winston come out of a room with the girl at a party, everything was very consensual. Then someone took a video tape of them coming out together and it got around. She got embarrassed, and accused him of r*pe. How many times did she change the story to fit new/emerging evidence and witness accounts? It was a complete joke, and never taken seriously by authorities. Not to mention, her initial reaction to all of this was to go straight for 7 million dollars. To make it all go away. Not to see Jameis go to prison.

Stealing Crab legs, Standing on a table in cafe and yelling "F*&k her in the Pu$$y"

Was only a story because of the blatantly false r*pe accusation. The crab legs thing was obviously an arrangement he had with the deli guy at the store. Did he display some immaturity? Of course. However, if I a dollar for every time a college kid swore in a cafeteria, I'd be a very rich man.

I wouldn't trust him on my team and and wouldn't want him near my sisters or future daughters. That's my opinion. I don't tolerate this type of shit. You can block me if you'd like Joey.

I have no interest in interacting with you again. You're putrid.

What a disgusting display this thread has been. Ill-informed morons, and now they're calling me a possible mysogynist... Disgusting.

Yes, why do you think so many false r*pe accusations happen against famous athletes? Patrick Kane, Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant, Jay Bromley... etc...

Why do you think she waited until he was drafted to file the civil suit?

There isn't even a question of whether it was bull shit or not...

Yes I am aware of false accusations, just as I am aware of valid accusations. But when you settle, in my book, you admit some sort of guilt. I wouldn't settle in a million years. But that's just me i guess.

What would you do? Stalk her for awhile, and then wear her skin as a mask?

But when you settle, in my book, you admit some sort of guilt.

The settlement specifically stated that it wasn't an admission of guilt. So, no... That is simply you failing to understand what transpired.

Winston also filed a defamation/slander suit against the accuser, stating she lied. The judge ruled in favor of him.

Look into the case for yourself. Both the authorities and the school found no wrong-doing on Jameis's part. Saying that her story was dishonest and horribly inconsistent. Which it was. Every time details emerged which countered her story, she changed the narrative to make it fit. Two sworn and signed witness accounts all corroborate that the two had consensual sex. There was also a video of them that emerged of them that night, which showed them just after the alleged "assault" happened and they were quite pleasant.

Don't want to look into it? Okay, I will...

Separately, the Tallahassee police, State's Attorney Office, Florida State University and a retired Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court (in a neutral party private investigation) reviewed the case. Stating that there was no grounds for charges and the story brought forth by the accused was inconsistent.

"I was blackout drunk!"

Report reveals that the accuser's blood alcohol level was only 0.04

"He drugged me then!"

Toxicology reports revealed that she was not drugged.

The physical evidence, including the r*pe kit, the BAC and toxicology tests, the physical examination, the lab reports, etc., all of which range from neutral, to explicitly supporting Winston's version of events. Everything pointed to their being absolutely no drugging, excessive drinking and most of all... it pointed to consensual sex.

The Chief Justice didn't just stop at stating that there isn't enough evidence for legal charges either.

The evidence must show that it is more probable than not that you are responsible for the charged violations. After a thorough review, the evidence before me does not satisfy this threshold and, therefore, you are not responsible for the aforementioned charged violations. -- Justice Harding, in a December 21st ruling in Code of Conduct Hearing.

This is a major statement, one that likely won't be fully appreciated my many - especially those (like yourself, @JoeyTourettes , G8trGirl...) who made up their minds long ago. It is clearly stating that 1,000 pages of evidence shows the allegation against Winston cannot be sustained at even the easiest possible standard -preponderance of the evidence. Meaning that the accused would be found responsible for if there was just a 51 percent chance (more likely than not) that the accusation was true.

This isn't "there's not enough for a criminal charge," but rather "there isn't even enough to claim that you more likely than not are responsible for these charges."

She went to the police... who exonerated Jameis. She went to the school... who exonerated Jameis... The State's attorney's office investigated, and they exonerated Jameis... A former Chief Justice on the Supreme Court did a private investigation... and exonerated Jameis. Not only did they exonerate him, they outright called her story inconsistent and dishonest.

Her only choice was to go to a civil court, and threaten to drag the process out forever. (What a coincidence? Wouldn't you know she waited until he was drafted #1 overall?) Forcing Winston to pay an absurd amount in legal fees, for a case where it was already accepted that he did nothing wrong. He opted to settle, which is understandable to many. Even if not to yourself.

There is zero excuse for referring to Jameis as "a rapist". Period.
