I don't know that it matters much. Vikes, Pack and Commanders are all tough matchups as wild cards. I might actually prefer a second round rematch with the Lions over the Eagles, although they likely only get the Eagles if the Bucs/Falcons also win in the WC round.
Eagles at home in the cold will be tough for whoever they play. Getting the #4 may not be such a bad thing.

The back up players will play hard. Garoppolo can play, we have seen him play the Rams. I'm not worried about the Seahawks.

So if Alaric Jackson and Kevin Dotson are resting and Fat tub of pig grease Jonah Jackson goes to Right Guard and Notebum goes to Left Tackle, who is playing Right Tackle with Havenstein out as well? I hope they don't put McClendon in Right Tackle. Avila should sit as well and Dedrich should go in that Left Guard spot. Maybe K.T. Leveston is going to start at right Tackle. Everybody else listed in this article is expected to sit. Maybe we will see Cody Schrader and Ronnie Rivers at RB. On defense, I suspect peeps will be substituted in and out most of the day.

Just what I was afraid of. McClendon is starting at Right Tackle. Pron boy better learn to duck or run because he is going to get hammered. We will see Cody Shrader and Blake Corum at RB in the Run Game. Whittington is playing and so are all three TEs.

I never liked the idea of taking games off.. if they are healthy then i believe they should play even if its only for a series or 2. We have got to stop this stupid shit of starting off slow and banking on a 2nd half surge to pull away from teams. LET puka get his 1 catch for 10 yds and sub him if must.

As much as I'd love to sweep Seattle, this week means very little in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not worried about rest, I'm worried about upright and available. Need Havenstein ready to go for the playoffs for example. Known injury risks should be sitting this weekend. Puka is too important to risk IMO. I think Kupp could probably use a week off too, give the WR depth an opportunity to get involved. Kyren has dodged injury thus far, bubble-wrap him. If anyone has performance goals in their contracts, give them credit and move on if possible.
The only problem with resting the starters is they will be going into the playoffs on a lull.

The offense has scored a whopping 44 pts in 3 games since the Buffalo game, and the starters will be trying to get out of that offensive funk in the playoffs against very good teams.

It’s just as big of a risk as a starter getting injured playing this week IMO.

After all, what’s the point of making the playoffs, resting your starters only to flame out the first game?

And let’s not forget, this team has a history of slow starts in games all season to add to the current offensive funk.

Precisely, ALR. AS, I have often stated many times over the years, a given team cannot reverse patterns of play that they have been doing all season long in one game and they sure as hell can't change in the playoffs when the play way better teams.

The Rams' Offense and Stafford have been starting very slowly often not scoring a single point in the First Quarter and sometimes in the First Half. In the Buffalo game, the Offense scored a TD in the First Quarter and two TDs and a FG in the Second Quarter. We have not seen that sort of performance in the last three games.

Not playing the very people who are starting slow in this week's game is really adding another layer of inhibition the Rams Offense will have to overcome in the Wild Card Weekend game because Stafford is one of the players who has been horrible and starting slow.

Also, McShitferBrains himself has called some really bad games in the last three games to contribute to those slow starts. To overcome all of it to win that First game in the playoffs is reaching a point of no-return and apparently McShitferBrains has not learned much for when he did rest players and we then lost the First Round game.

This week gives J J time to get some snaps under his belt and I'm sure the Defensive line will all play but I don't want Stafford in the game or Puka or Kupp and KW so to also rest some other starters makes sense.

Looks like Dedich is going to play Left Guard and allow Avila to sit. We might see Arcuri of all people at Right Tackle tomorrow. This dude has been on the PS for nearly four years now and maybe it is time to see what he has got.

This is what I thought about Arcuri. Keir Thomas was a good call-up too because the guy needs to play and not sit forever on the PS.
