Game Thread: Week 17: Giants @ Redskins

it didnt end the way we hoped. & there is room for improvement ... on defense for sure ... and after today we can see some glaring holes on offense also.

But, we're heading in the right direction.

back to back winning seasons. receivers with over 1K yards. passers with over 4k.

We're a boarder line respectable franchise.

Clearly we have issues. Big issues. Both in talent and in leadership. But we are miles better that we were 4 years ago and we are heading in the right direction. This loss hurt and just underscores we have a ways to go. But we dont need to panic, just keep moving in the right directions.

Agreed! I've seen this rear it's ugly head, way too much. I saw it, live at the Georgia Dome, last year, when he threw a pick-six to Robert Alford to end the game in OT.

Skins were the 3rd best team in the division this year. Hope they clear up the things they need too and go for the top spot next year.

Not sure going 2-4 in our last 6 games. With the wins coming against teams with nothing to play for. While the losses came against 2 good teams and 2 other teams with nothing to play for is moving in the right direction.

And that is the leadership issues I refer to. There is no clear cut leader on this team. No one that can get the guys focused on the task at hand and rally the troops to play better than their abilities. But looking at the bigger picture, I still feel we are moving in the right direction, unfortunately all growing pains involve some steps forward and some steps backwards.

The defense must improve for us to win. Also, we need to improve the kicking game. He has cost us at least 1 or 2 games.

I wonder if Brady, P. Manning or any other QB has a stat that says 55 fourth QB comebacks but only 16 against winning teams.

Just noting that playing big when it matters most under bright lights continues to elude Kirk and this team.
