Game Thread: Week 17, 2015: Rams @ 49er's

This game is for pride, roster spots for next year, and to cement our draft position as it has been every year for the last 15 seasons. This is a late game like last week. At least we are not playing Seattle! I will not be here as usual. Working. Enjoy the game everyone!

...that OT loss to the Vikings looms large! A win vs the Niners and a loss by the Vikes to GB this week would potentially have the Rams in the playoffs!

I think even without Gurley, we will win this game. I'll go with a score of 30-13 to end the season at 8-8.

With Gurley going deactivated and essentially on unofficial injured reserve, Nick Fairly and Doug Worthington were added to the injured reserve list and we called up Malcolm Brown at RB from the PS. I'd like to see this Brown kid play on Sunday if I were actually going to watch the game.

We also added Troy Hill CB via waivers from the Patriots. Kush and Folkerts are also on the active roster. Olgetree has returned to practice. Not sure he will play on Sunday. A weird roster but let the off-season begin with the Rams wanting desperately wanting to sign both Jenkins and Johnson. The FO (as usual) suddenly realizes they are in another "Oh Shit!" moment.

Agreed. By winning this game, there's no reason why we couldn't be 11-5 and clinch a playoff spot and go back to Washington for Wild Card weekend. But I seriously doubt the stasche will get fired, mainly because the owner cares more about getting the team moved to Los Angeles to increase profitability than about winning.

Kroneke doesn't equate the product on the field with profitability. The T.V. contract pays him more money if the value of the team increases. To hell with winning. He'll work on that way later if ever knowing he always has that T.V. money in his back pocket. He has done the same with the Avalanche and the Nuggies. Increased asset value makes for greater borrowing capacity and maximum advantage during tax season. He could care less about winning.

I really hope that we're not mailing it in and not taking the game seriously. We see how ugly this team looks when it looks like they don't care about a game.
