Just read this article that I think makes some nice points about the uncharacteristically low production we've seen from our passing game the past three weeks.

Denver Broncos Fans Wondering: What's Behind Peyton Manning's Recent Struggles? | Bleacher Report

Focusing only on the passing game, the article doesn't speak to how well the defense has played or how well (for the most part) we've run the ball over that period. I am optimistic that an article addressing how well we are playing in all three of those phases might be forthcoming soon.

No one seems to have noticed or just don't care that Peyton Manning has taken a couple of nasty hits to his throwing arm over the past few weeks. In San Diego he was just starting his release when a SD defender reached up and stopped his arm dead. Manning's face contorted and he hurt his leg a couple of plays later. I think.....and I'm no medical expert, that he may have a very sore throwing arm. No one on the team is going to say anything and Manning doesn't want to sit an see the team possibly be at a disadvantage. If the Broncs beat the Bengals this week, I hope Manning gets to sit out a week or two before he has to play again.

No worries. Denver should win by 30 on Monday night.

Dalton folds like a lawn chair on the Prime Time stage. Our defense has also allowed like 3 or 4 games where they given up 500+ yards of offense.

Unfortunately, I think Denver may still be in the hunt for a 1st round bye with home field throughout on the line. NE does play Buffalo last week and Buffalo may be playing for a playoff spot.

I don't know if Manning will get a game off.

Kinda what I'm thinking too CDS. If NE and Denver both win this wknd, the last wknd might be very big. Reason I say " might " is since NE has morning game and Denver afternoon, if NE wins, Denver will probably not play starters full game since beating Cincy locks up 1st rd bye for Denver anyway. Now if they both win this wknd and they get news Buffalo beat NE, well that changes everything. Be very exciting game for Broncos vs Raiders if that happens:suds:

Hope what? That Manning's hurt? I've never wished any player ill will or harm. I've never insulted an individual player. You may think UNOFutbal but you really don't.

LittleKen we get it. You don't like Manning and you feel the need to troll on the Broncos board to make yourself feel better so you can go on with your day. You aren't fooling anyone. Have a Merry X Mas. Just saying.

I think was a misunderstanding with Ken and IKF. The " I hope so " pretty sure meant Manning just getting rest, etc. That was my gist anyway

BigKen I think you are ignoring the most obvious thing here in Manning was sick and I mean really sick on Sunday. He hardly slept Saturday night before the game and had to have 4 IV bags (so 4,000 ml) put into him. I actually am in the medical field (more on the psychology side but I am a volunteer EMT so know a little about that). Anybody that has that much fluids put into them is in bad shape. I would say his leg injury as well was more likely him just cramping up since it was the end of the half. How about before we go too crazy with "Manning is hurt" let us just look at the most obvious issue and go from there.

I think Bigken is scared. I think he's worried Manning is going to end his Pats' season again. Why else would he be on the Broncos board so much? Do any of you guys chat up the Pats board?

I went there recently because BigKen had posted an article on theirs about Peyton retiring after this year to become owner of the Titans. He quoted some CBS writer that was just trying to get clicks with no actual evidence other than a "source close to Peyton" saying he wants to be an owner some day.

So basically even on the Pats board he talks about Manning? Sounds scared to me.

Soooooo, I guess if you talk on a board you are scared?
Really? Ken likes to talk football. Why would you be offended by what he said? Are you scared?
This is such bullshit. All of you have talked about the Pats. Is this because we are #1 and #2?
Or is this because we are all scared? What bullshit. We all talk because we talk football.
Forgive me for calling you on thios - it is because I'm scared!!!!!!

Who said anything about being offended? Amused is a better description. Patriots fans seem to be much more fascinated with the Broncos than the other way around and I am just pointing that out. If that is offensive to you then it may be an indicator you genuinely are scared. BK seems to be. I actually like most of you guys and welcome your thoughts around here, but if I notice a trend I'm going to mention it.

:agree: I just dont
see the need for a Patriots fan to assume there is something wrong with Manning. If the Patriots meet the Broncos again in the playoffs then talk all you want. Until there is proof Manning is injured then get back to me. Just saying.

I think we are reading way too much into this. BigKen meant only that if injured, Manning could use the extra week off. That stands for all players.

Lets be honest. We will need Manning if we want the Lombardi trophy. That is assuming he is injured which I am not sure is the case.

Of all the pats fans, the ones that come here are normally respectful. Lets not become hyper-defensive when anyone mentions something about our team. That is for seahawk fans.

I think that all players, particularly those who have played as many years as PM has, are at least a bit dinged up at this point in the season.

Multiple factors are at work. For now, let's see how it all shakes out Monday night in Cincinnati. I have a feeling that our team is going to play really well on the road against a quality opponent. We shall see.

BigKen the big thing you are missing here is it is illegal for the Broncos to not report Manning being hurt. Teams are not allowed to cover up injuries and the Broncos have been one of the better teams at disclosing things to the public as our last Coach was pretty big on trying to cover things up (good ol McDaniels). Anyway again why I think he looked like he was in pain on Sunday was because he actually was in pain but not because his arm got hit. He has had that happen hundreds of times throughout his career. The issue was hydration from what I could tell. When you are sick and losing fluids as fast as he was everything in the body hurts.

Not only hydration but the natural muscle soreness associated with the flu.

I'm sure it's about as significant as Tom Brady's "Ailments" early this season.
