WTF ? Your gambling when you don’t need to gamble, I think going for 2 is being the pussy because you don’t believe in your teams ability to make a stop or score in overtime …

You're not gambling. You have 1 play to get 2 yards over either not seeing the ball in OT or needing to drive 70-80 plus yards

You would have a point if this was CFB or NFL playoffs OT rules but for the NFL regular season? I think every team should go for 2 and end the game over the unknown of OT where your team never seeing the ball is a real possibility

You would have a point if this was CFB or NFL playoffs OT rules but for the NFL regular season? I think every team should go for 2 and end the game over the unknown of OT where your team never seeing the ball is a real possibility

That 2 yards isn’t easy though when you consider the safeties and Db’s can play up and not worry about getting beat over the top, it’s congested when your close to the goal-line… l hate seeing that because you’re putting the entire game on 1 play when you can have WAY more plays available in OT to get the job done… You gotta believe you D can make that stop in OT or believe your O can score should you win the toss … Just seems risky to put everything on one play when you can have MANY plays available in OT

I can see both sides to the argument, the main thing is the Saints don’t have anything to play for and yes you could have multiple plays in OT but they’re not starting out 6 feet away from the win
