In my pre-season predictions I had us splitting the season with these guys with us losing the early contest and savoring a nice turkey day victory in the latter game. Nothing has changed my mind especially since the first half of my prediction has taken place.

i threw all my season predictions out the window after the week 1 lost to the steelers ... lol

there is just something about being undefeated that give me so much confidence

The only way we have a chance to beat them is to stop Elliott. No one has been able to do that yet and we are not great against the run. Ergo...........

It's nice to have confidence in your picks and all but you don't want to at least voice some concern
that your 21st rated rushing defense is facing a rushing juggernaut?

Stopping Elliott is not the only key to beating Dallas this week. Just ask the Ravens who were unsuccessful running the football. The YPC was above average, the attempts were below average. If you can run the ball effectively, you can keep the Cowboys offense off the field. If you can't, your odds are significantly less in defeating them.

While I agree with this I also firmly believe we CAN win this game. Going to come down to who plays the most mistake free football IMO. Our O has the ability to out score the Boys O. Just need to keep our O on the field longer.

Excerpt

Once, long ago, Washington and Dallas were true powers. They’d both win 10 or more games, even in the era of 14-game schedules. In fact, counting a strike-shortened season when both were excellent, it happened nine times between ’72 and ’91. That’s why “Washington-Dallas” still has a legendary ring to it, even though that chill-thrilling bell hasn’t really rung in ages.

When Jamison Crowder and the Redskins faced Orlando Scandrick and the Cowboys back in Week 2, they were just two teams hoping to get a leg up in the NFC East race. Now, set to clash Thursday, they’re two of the four best teams in the NFC. (Toni L. Sandys/The Washington Post)

Few have a sense of how long it’s been since one of pro football’s great hate-fests was the real deal, not a trumped-up excuse to imagine that a glorious past could be resurrected just by willing it. Here’s a quiz you won’t pass: in the past 30 years, how many times have both won 10 games in a season?

Once. That it was ’91, the last year Washington won the Super Bowl.

When this game is played on Thanksgiving, my Grandma mandated there be two separate tables and the two sides of the family had to leave her house through separate doors. Come Friday, there will be some family members who wont talk for the next month. LOL

I hear ya. I am going over to my cousins house for Thanksgiving and he is a big Cowboys fan. They are probably going to have to separate us. I really gave it to him when RG3 lit their ass up.
