Why? There are 50 teams who would have the same record or better with the same schedule.

Minnesota played a very soft schedule.....They need to show a little more


They played exactly one good team all year and lost 30-7, which might have been worse if the coach was not in the wedding party of his good friend at TCU.


Plenty of mid-level teams like California, Tennessee, NC State...and many many others would likely be (7-2) with that schedule.


The polls will reward Minnesota if they can beat OSU.
They need something on the schedule to point to as a quality win.
