We will learn some things this week

We won't learn much about how good we are......unless we beat Wisconsin something to the tune of 49-10, I will reserve judgement on saying we're getting good. But we aren't going to beat them with any kinda score like that. In fact, this game will be close throughout.

We WILL learn how bad we are.......

This is a Wisconsin team that has not just taken a step back from last year, they've taken several steps back from last year. If their Offense puts up mega yards against our Defense, we have big problems moving forward. And Husker Nation will immediately erupt into a state of panic. At the same time, if our Offense cannot put up enough points against this Defense, we have big problems moving forward.

The past 2 weeks we beat up on Mom State University and Daughter State University.............but don't worry, it was enough for 95% of Husker fans to stir up nice big pitcher of red kool-aid to quench their thirst. Now the majority of our fan base thinks we have improved vastly since the UCLA game.

WARNING: Oregon State just beat UCLA yesterday 27-20.............the same Oregon State team that beat Wisconsin 10-7..................and yes, the same UCLA team that beat Nebraska 36-30.......

There is reason for fear this week. Just as it appears from the outside that Wisconsin is moving downward and Nebraska is moving upward, trust me.......we're both currently in the same position. We have not done anything that they haven't done up to this point in the season.

Just because we score a bunch of points doesn't mean a damn thing. It simply means that our Offense is performing well against terrible Defenses........

What I'm really trying to say is..........a classic Bo Pelini coached football team would lose this game and have Nebraska sitting at 3-2.

Until he gets over the hump, I cannot sit here and say we are definitely going to beat a team like this.

Nebraska should win this game.....

But Nebraska should have won the UCLA game...........and the Northwestern game last year.........and the year before we should have won the Bowl game against Washington, the Big 12 Championship game, the A&M game, the Texas game..........


That is why I'm not comfortable (yet) saying that we will win a game like this. We have to go out and prove it. Wisconsin isn't nearly as bad as people believe. They're good enough stopping the run that it could cause some big issues for us.
