Didn't Vegas go through some massive flooding of parkades and viaducts where homeless people reside fairly recently?

Sadly, in prior years it has happened. This year almost no rain for monsoon season.

Expected rainfall - 1.00 - 2.50". Annual rainfall is just over 4", so it will be a big deal as far as amount, but spread over Sat-Mon. I'm not sure about downpours with this storm. Hopefully it's just outer bands of steady rain, still enough to screw everything up.

My brother told me one of the mountains near Rancho Mirage/Palm Springs, CA got 10 inches of rain. Highway 10 is closed near his place. His wife posted insta videos of all types of roof leaks at their place. I guess you never know how good a condition your roof is in in the US south west until a storm like this comes through.

/triple whammy for my relatives this summer when it comes to the climate crisis ... but bad things happen in 3's so I got that going for me !
