There is way too much talent on that team to be performing like they do.

Their leading goalscorer has 29 goals. Their second-highest goalscorer is Chandler Stephenson who's reached a career high in goals this season with 18. Their 3rd and 4th highest scorers are both defence-first blue liners.

Patches and Eichel can both score goals but Vegas hasn't had either for more than 45% of their total games played. William Karlsson's bottomed out production-wise. Reilly Smith is good for around 20 goals a year when healthy, which he hasn't been entirely this season. Stone is a pass first player who might've gotten the puck to some goalscorers' sticks more this year if he were healthy but even then there's only so much he can do

There's some talent on this team but they aren't exactly chock full of goalscorers who you'd expect to be a major threat on the PP even if healthy.

So, which of their "core players" that they are "committed to long term" is going to get the Fleury treatment in the offseason? Cap's only going up 1m. They currently have 12m on LTIR.
