Just throwing this out there, and I do not mean to sound cold, but how about a less Sabrescentic logo for this board?

Will he still get to coach the Pacific All-Star team?

Don’t bet on the Pacific

Not surprised. The team has been in a funk, and a lot of the postgame interviews with Gallant had the stench of "no idea what to do" to them.

The good news about Gallant getting fired in Vegas is that there are plenty of taxis available :spit:

This will be an unmitigated financial disaster
I went to Henderson Nevada a few years ago with my kid to see the Lion Ranch (very cool)
10 minutes from Vegas, and the Uber drop off guy had no idea it was there.
Uber pick up guy couldn't find us even with address and GPS (and.... it was a big ranch full of lions), cancelled pick-up.

so I hope they aren't planning on much spill-over interest from Vegas proper.

agreed. Henderson is a loooong way from the Strip. You’re right not really any reason to go there unless you like locals casinos

but

it is home to a great Buffalo sports bar. Johnny Mac’s. Going out in a couple weeks and will make the trek out there for wings and Beef on Weck. Yum.

Admit it, you meant "Bunny Ranch".

I live in Henderson and can be on strip in 15 minutes. Geographically, Henderson is pretty big, so it depends where in Henderson you are talking about. Johnny Macs is real Buffalo food.

The spot where they are building for the AHL team is already an outdoor theater. Traffic sucks in that area and there isn’t a lot of room for development (parking).

Interesting story about Lion Ranch, has been there for many years, but couldn’t advertise or be open to public. The MGM lions were transported between there and MGM daily. When MGM stopped the lion exhibit, they could start opening to public.

also interesting there is a giraffe that paints!

we did the private tour, and the first thing they said was - with the lions, beware of the spray zone.
so if a lion turned its ass to you, take a step or three back.
another family was on the tour, and this kid of about 6 or 7 wasn't paying attention (neither were the parents I guess), and this kid got drenched in lion piss from head to toe. And as little kids do, instead of moving, he was just frozen, and started crying with big open mouth sobs. all the while the lion continues to piss on him. It was honestly one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
They took his away to dab him with paper towels. Can't imagine the smell of their car ride home.
