Well, y'all did, not me. But when the Giants drafted Jones with the 6th pick, these board had a field day along with the media in trashing the Giants for the pick. Even when the team said other teams, including Washington, were looking to draft him in the first round, people thought they were making excuses. Now we have Gruden saying he didn't want Haskins. So you can put two and two together there and see that the Giants were not lying and MADE the right decision. Who's laughing now?

The Giants roster, even if Jones is good, is still a complete joke- defensively in particular.

The 2 teams the Giants beat have a combined record of 2-6. Let's see how Jones does against an actual competent team before we go crowning him worthy of being the #6 pick.

Yes and those are the 2 wins I mentioned. The Bucs also allowed 72 points combined in the last 2 weeks and have allowed less than 31 points once this season. Not exactly an elite Defense.

That's fine and all but since preseason, Jones looked solid.

Not the bum everyone clearly expected him to be.

What's going to be your excuse tomorrow if he plays solid against a good defense?

The Daniel Jones hate from day 1 was IMO nothing more than most Football fans who think mock drafts are worth more than a piece of toilet paper. Year after year people talk about how guys were picked too early or "dropped" because they didn't go according to how dimwits in the media expected and "mocked" them. Yet people will still call a guy a "reach" or "first round talent" that they got in the 2nd or 3rd round because of the fictitious pre-draft hype and even post articles to "prove" their point.

Jones has looked fantastic from the first preseason game he played in, but if the OP actually watched all of his games he would also see that his ball security has been horrendous. I like the kid a lot and think he will be good, but he has a lot to work on. He can make all of the throws and make plays with his feet, but the book is far from being written on him at this point. Seems like an incredibly hard worker and a real high character kid too - Jones, not the OP.

I liked Daniel Jones and he's even better than I thought. Getting him and Barkley in back to back years is nice. Makes me wonder why they traded the best WR in the game

I recall grading Daniel Jones fairly low because it was a reach where he was selected. If NY had traded back into the mid frame he in all likelihood would've been there.

That said, it's been a couple games. ALWAYS wait until a couple seasons have been PLAYED before you go spouting off on a QB. I've ALWAYS said that... I said it about Baker Mayfield last year and got some criticism from Browns fans... well so far THIS season, I'm spot on in terms of "why we wait a couple seasons".

The hate was not at Jones but where he was drafted at 6. Most liked Jones but thought he should be a late 1st.

And Jones has proven what exactly?

That people who rush to judgement should actually just sit back and watch things play out before all is said and done.

I praised the selection of Jones.
