Well the Sharks have had a substantial margin in the play in the last 7 periods of this series- in terms of zone time, scoring chances, winning battles, etc- but it doesnt matter unless the scoreboard follows. Another strong period from SJ minus the score.

Sedins- why no penalty kill?

.........Most teams use their best players on the PK. Can someone enlighten me as to why the 'Nucks never use the Sedins to kill penalties???

Not all teams use their best players on the PK. In fact a lot of teams don't. Why would you want to unless you had too?

Sharks dominate the period yet are losing. Would be nice to get some bounces in the 2nd.

AV has been pretty specific about having offensive players out for offensive chances (including off zone faceoffs), and defensive players (lappierre, kesler in certain situations) out for defensive zone time.

that's why the malhotra injury changed so much. kesler had to slide back to start so many more of his shifts in the defensive zone.

that theory kind of carries over to PP / PK

I agree Boss, but I'd like to see the robots kill penalties a little more often, especially in a series like this where PPs have been the story. If we're shorthanded, they don't get in the game and get a good feel for the game.
