If I can, I am going to watch as much of Mike Riley as I can this game.

Last week, he seemed to have some sort of force field around him. At times, no one was ever around him. No coaches, no players. Usually, Mark Banker is near him, but I only saw Mark Banker with his arms crossed and staring at the field.

There were times that Coach Riley was just staring at the ground when a play was going on.

I do remember Riley and Langsdorf having a conversation on the sidelines near the end of the game.

They don't show Mike on the sidelines as much as they did BLo.

Purdue had more talent on the field than we did, so I'm not sure whom these teams we're supposed to beat are

If you truly believe that, you are in complete denial and the worst kind of apologist.

Do Marshall and Bowling Green have more talent than Nebraska as well?

What happened to the last 3-4 years of you telling this forum how great all these "Diamond in the rough" gems these guys were?

3-4 years of "You're not the coach", "You don't know how to evaluate talent", "You're a hater, not a true fan"

Now you are questioning the talent in the cupboard? LMAO

"Start" 50 walk ons, eh?

What game have you been watching?

Only 11 players can be on the field at a time.

11 + 11 = 22

the injury bug definitely hurts. we had more talent than Purdue, but when most teams are getting better we are lucky to have all the guys who started the year as our #1s. heck we are missing a bunch of #2s as well.

but really, i think i posted someone's video from the sideline before, it was severely lacking emotion over there against Purdue. I do remember them showing Riley talking to a player on the sideline once during the game. Without Bo's antics over there, i feel like they aren't showing the Nebraska sideline nearly as much. But it just doesn't seem like the units are over their huddling that much and talking about what to do better, maybe i'm wrong, but when you look at the NFL, they go to the bench sit down and they are all looking at plays and trying to make adjustments, when people post pics of our sideline, i don't see anything like that happening.

Some of you don't seem to get where I am going with this.

Are the coaches "not all in"?

Have the coaches checked out?

Are the coaches resigned to this type of play?

How can the coaches expect the players to "buy in" if the coaches have not bought in?

With most coaches there is some fire going on on the sideline.

Scale:
Super Volcano = Pelini, Muschamp although Pelini is probably the most violent one of the two

Massive eruption = Barry Switzer, Bob Devaney, Woody Hayes don't seem to be too many of these types of coaches anymore

Active Volcano = Urban Meyer, Jim Harbaugh, Pat Fitzgerald

Mild Eruption = Nick Saban, Steve Spurrier, Bob Stoops, Frank Solich

Dormant Volcano = Tom Osborne, Mack Brown

Extinct Volcano = Riley?

Pile of dog poo = Callahan

If anyone is going to the game, and you can, check out the coaches and see what they are doing. I did not do this at the Minnesota game. I was to ecstatic by the play on the field.
