The key for the Dawgs is red zone TD %. That was our #1 prob last year, along with the injury issues at Oline and RB. We got a healthy team right now, but red zone will be the key.

The other will be not to force things from letting the bowl game like atmosphere this game will have get to us. If we come out jumpy, this game could be a disaster real fast.

Doesn't pretty much every game come down to QB play and turnovers?

To me this game comes down to Price vs Boises Defense and that's the story. Southwick will get some scores. Boise is notorious for their gimmick plays and they will find a way to get a couple of cheap TD's, but if Price is playing like he should at home they should be able to overcome it and move ahead. If Price is forcing things and causing really stupid self inflicted turnovers like the last several games last year they won't win.

The thing here is Price has pretty much always been good at home. Even last season their only home loss was to USC and it wasn't Price that lost them that game. The knock on Price is his lack of play on the road. Still, a first game of the season so who knows if he takes the next step forward or not.

Oh, and before anyone even starts, there is nothing wrong with cheap TD's. They are all worth 6 no matter how you get them. I'm just saying I expect Boise to get at least one long TD on a trick/gimmick play on top of whatever they may also get in normal sustained drives. As long as UW is doing what they should be on offense it shouldn't matter.

Psssh, whatever. Let the excuses start, Wiz!

Boise may use a trick play here and there, but not much more often than most teams. And they certainly don't need it to beat UW.

Thought I was pretty clear that it's not a bad thing. You use whatever edge you can get to win games. USC used to use gimmick plays during their run. When you can execute them why wouldn't you? How is that an excuse exactly? It's amazing how sensitive some of you are.

I would be surprised (and concerned) if Washington doesn't win...

Ya know, at first read I got the impression that you were implying that BSU will have to rely on trick plays to win. My bad. Either way, your DC is as familiar with Petersen's program as any coordinator in the country so I don't expect anything too shifty other than some wildcat plays or a WR taking a snap or two. Can't wait to watch Swick and Ajayi pound it down the field.

It's not that they have to rely on it, but it is a part of their game and it doesn't matter if they only run 4-5 of those types of plays the fact that the defense has to be ready for them all game long puts a different level of focus on them that can impact their play on regular downs as well. Even if they are just hesitant a little it can impact them. That's the power of those plays. While BSU may not score on many/most of them their impact will be felt all game long especially given that most of the kids on defense were there in the bowl and remember being burned by them.

The original point was no matter what BSU does on offense I still think the story will be how Price plays and what your defense does. I think that match up will decide the game. If Price forces plays or gets his fumblitis back they will probably lose. If he plays loose and looks more like he did two years ago I think it's going to be a very long night for your defense.

The more I look into this game the more I think Washington should be able to win the game. They're very experienced (bring back ten starters on offense, I believe they only lost a FB?) and they have a heck of a quarterback. Boise State is experienced as well though. Should be a good matchup.

Boy am I glad we have Demarcus Lawrence back for this game.

UW only graduated their center off last years team. Everyone else is a returning starter. They will rotate 7 kids on the line, all of which have experience. The thing to watch will be UW's receivers vs their young (and short) corners. I believe all of UW's receivers have several inches on their CB's. If ASJ plays it's going to look more like an air raid offense on steroids.

Really, "IF ASJ plays"? Again, second offer for an avatar bet. You got one for two weeks, I'll cover the next two weeks. Put up or "really please" shut up.

:wtf: Second offer for what? I have a bet with transit as has been discussed. Never said anything about making a bet with you so I have no freaking clue what you are going on about. You been sniffing glue at work? Really man, every now and then you just seem to be in a different zip code. You off your meds?

Reported that Huskies will be going full tradition with the unis on Sat. Purple jerseys, Gold pants, with Gold helmets.

Broncos will be wearing all white (helmets, jerseys, pants) and blue shoes.

Well that answers that then doesn't it. Guess those calling sark names for presuming he would play can officially go fuck themselves.

I'm fine with a one game suspension given how long ago it was and how much time for other punishments he has had. If a player did that in season or just before camp you suspend them for several games because that's all you got really. ASJ missed all of spring and went through hell for the entire summer over it. This game suspension and missing the grand reopening is enough. Good job Sark.

And I didn't think he should be suspended given it was so long ago and had already faced punishment

This looks like Sark knowing he wasn't going to play and decided to look hard

He suspended an injured player right?

no, he was medically cleared to play and has been practicing all week without that hard cast on his pinky.
