I would do neither of those trades, especially not Stafford.

I am for keeping draft picks but maybe .... just maybe Stafford would be interesting. He certainly has skills. He is a bit like Cousin's.

I don't think they can count on Smith to stay healthy. I think Allen is something like a Grossman. Heinicke will be back in school sooner than later.

I'd like to draft a guy but the only guy the have drafted EVER that I believed in was Cousin's. I don't have a lot of faith with our history when it comes to drafting QBs.

Perhaps, but the Stafford deal
Is exceedingly high, and the Carr deal isnt worth the price.
There is no real reason (IMHO) to gut any single draft for an older qb who wont be around when the team is able to have sustained success.

I dont think the WFT should trade any of their picks for players, and certainly not more than one in any draft for players.

I certainly wouldnt trade a second round pick for Carr straight up anyway, and think adding a fifth and a third pick in next years draft is definitely not worth it.

I’d trade a fourth rounder for Carr. That’s about as high as I’d go.

It would hurt like hell to give up the haul suggested in that article for Stafford. I would rather draft a QB and have those other picks.

My statement was more like imagine having a Stafford instead of a Smith or Allen. It would be nice but I would rather have the picks.

If the team improves as we all hope my thoughts are:

KC and Green Bay - yikes
Seattle - tough one but doable
New Orleans - without Brees?
Tampa Bay - we know how that just turned out

Is there is a 17th game any of those teams will be tough.

The rest - are doable.

Of course his is all based on 2020 except the possibility of Brees retiring. Lord knows how things turn out next year.

Think about this guys:

Baker Mayfield, at only 25 years old, is the oldest starting quarterback among all the AFC teams left for a Super Bowl slot.
