Matz pitched well enough and even though he allowed 10 hits, he did strike out 7, and only gave up 1 run in 6 innings, but gets the no decision.

Familia gets credit for a hold in his 1 inning of work.
(hopefully things will turn around for the better for him now)

Gsellman is charged with a blown hold & blown save...but thanks to Dom Smith & Cargo, also gets a vulture win.

Diaz earns the save. (#12)

Fun Fact:
The Mets went with an all right-handed lineup on Thursday against a right-handed starting pitcher for just the second time in franchise history, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Also:
New York placed infielders Robinson Cano and Jeff McNeil on the injured list prior to the game
, leaving the team without two regular position players.

Cano strained his left quad running out a grounder Wednesday, and McNeil has a tight left hamstring, which he believes occurred stealing a base in the ninth inning Tuesday. Luis Guillorme and Ryan O'Rourke were recalled from Triple-A Syracuse.
The Mets also claimed former Phillies OF Aaron Altherr off waivers from San Francisco and designated RHP Tim Peterson for assignment.

Yo update:
Cespedes has surgery, won't return this season

Goes without say but much needed sweep (if only they didn't get swept by the Marlins). Detroit is a beatable team, let's keep this momentum going.
