Mets on the board on a McNeil rbi single to tie the game 1-1 in the bottom of the 5th.

* Disregard my post before this one.
I misread the boxscore.
It's the Nats who have only the one hit. (a solo HR in the 2nd)
Mets have 4 hits so far.

Edit: Nats just got their 2nd hit. (a single) in the top of the 6th.

Our "pitching guru" manager decided to let Wheeler stay in the game until he throws his shoulder +/or elbow out of whack.....so he gives up a 1 out single and 2 out 2 run HR in the 7th.

3-1 Nats at the stretch.

Wheeler at 118 pitches.

Callaway is a clown.

Mets have a heartbeat and a pulse.

Wow!

JD Davis strokes a PH 3 Run Blast giving the Mets a 4-3 lead in the 7th.

I might have to quell my enthusiasm now however.
Familia is coming in and taking the mound in the 8th.
And right off the bat he gives up a leadoff single.....lol/smh

Could be a good time for some NBA playoff viewing.

:heh:

Just as I feared... game is now tied 4-4 after a Nats run scoring double.

Still no outs.

Callaway is not only a clown.....but a total asshat as well.

They have 1st & 3rd with 1 out now.

Zamora replaces Familia.

I'm sure this will end swimmingly for Callaway's crew...

Bashlor replaces Zamora.
Nats have 2nd & 3rd with 2 outs.

Still wondering why he chose to leave Wheeler in so long.
Mets pitchers for the most part don't seem to do shutdown innings very well.

Callaway's Clusterfuckery.

edit:
Bashlor escapes further harm.

5-4 Nats heading to the home 8th.

Gutsy win, the young guys getting it done. Pete Alonso, my God what a stud.

Pete Alonso set the Mets rookie record for home runs before the All-Star break with 1 1/2 months to spare. His 16th homer broke the team rookie record for the first half set by Ron Swoboda in 1965.
